Paav bhaji and garlic bread is awesome. Amritsari PAneer paratha is tasty and Indian thali, Rajasthani thali are awesome

Gypsy is one place which should never be missed while travelling to Jodhpur. Excellent hospitality, scrumptious food and value for money. The thali offers a huge variety from Marwari & Rajasthani cuisine and I bet one cannot have all of it.

What I ordered:
The Rajasthani Thali:10/10

What it contained:
1.Shrikhand-10/10: It is an Indian sweet dish made out of strained curd. It was just the right amount of sweet and tasted perfect.

2.Churma Laddoo-9.5/10: These are deep-fried wheat flour dough balls, mixed with ghee and jaggery and shaped into laddoos. The ones served here were delicious.

3. Safed Dhokla- 8/10: It is a snack made out of rice and urad dal, usually cut into cubes. The ones here seemed a little hard on the texture and weren't as juicy as they're supposed to be.

4. Aloo Papdi- 7/10: These are fried potato chips with a little bit of masala topping. They seemed a little hard to chew.

5. Methi Gota- 10/10: It's a snack made out of besan (gram flour) and fenugreek leaves, cut out into fritters and fried into snack balls called pakoras. The ones over here tasted absolutely divine. ❤

6. Shahi Paneer- 8.5/10: This is a mixture of paneer and thick tomato and spices gravy. It was very light and not as creamy as it usually is.

7. Methi gatta-10/10: It is prepared by adding fenugreek leaves into chickpea flour dough along with Indian spices. It is one of the traditional Rajasthani dishes and the one here was delectable.

8. Gawar Fali Tindsi Kachri- 10/10: It is a simple sabji made with a mixture of gawar, fali and sauteed kachri. This one, too, tasted awesome.

9. Punjabi Chana-8/10: A typical Punjabi style chickpea dish. This one tasted a bit too spicy.

10. Dal- 10/10: This particular one is also called "Kadhi". It acts as a perfect side for the delicious sabjis.

11. Moong Chilka-10/10: It is a simple dal made in a pressure cooker. A tadka is added to it later. It tastes best with rice.

12. Panchkuta ki Sabji-10/10: It is also called Kair Sangri and is one of the most authentic dishes of Rajasthan. It is made of Gumti, Sangri, Kair, Ghoondha and a range of spices and tastes yum.

13. Kabuli Pulav- 8/10- This is a dish made by mixing rice with various vegetables and spices. It tasted good except that it lacked a little bit of texture.

14. Pili Khichdi- 10/10: This is made by sauteing rice and a variety of dals in ghee and then pressure cooking it. It tasted great here.

15. Special Khichdi- 9/10: This one was made using special ingredients by the restaurant. It was a little too spicy for me.

16. Tawa Chapati-9/10: Typical tawa-cooked Indian flat bread.

17. Bajri Sogra-10/10: It is a roti made out of Bajra (millet). It tastes amazing when combined with the different varieties of sabjis that they offer.

18. Masala Parantha- 10/10: This is a paratha topped with masalas, just the perfect amount. It goes amazing with the sabjis too.

19. Hari chutney- 9/10: This is a chutney made of pudhina (mint). It is tangy flavoured and tastes great with the dhokla.

20. Mithi chutney-10/10: This chutney is made of tamarind and has a sweet and tangy taste to it as well.

21. Lassan chutney-20/10: This chutney is made of garlic and tastes good with pretty much everything. I had a whole lot of it alone as well. ❤

22. Mirchi Koota- I don't eat chilis so I don't know how this tasted.

23. Salad- 7/10: Basic onion, cucumber, cabbage and lemon salad.

24. Papad- 8/10: It is a thin and crisp snack item made out of seasoned flour. I don't like roasted papad in general hence, the low rating.

25. Chhaachh-10/10: Also called buttermilk, it is a curd-based drink popular across India. The perfect beverage to feel refreshed!❤

Ambience: A very simple setup with steel cutlery laid across the tables. Mostly crowded because of their amazing offerings.

Staff: Very friendly. Made sure that our plate was never empty and we were never left waiting. Insisted on trying out the different food items that they had to offer.

Service: Super timely and quick.

Overall experience: If you ever want to taste the authentic Rajasthani cuisine, this is the place for you. ❤

We four friends with family here and super delicious food as well service. Great choice of food .excellent service greàt ambience

We really enjoyed its rajasthani thali. Price of thali is moderate, it is Rs 349 per person.Taste was really good. Service was excellent. It is a must visit if you are in Jodhpur.
