This restaurant is in the location of what had traded as Upstairs. Some of the staff had been with Upstairs.

The new regime is quiet different - it doesn't provide fine dining but below average "Spanish" meals. Prices are reasonable but ambience poor.

We will not go there again.

This was one of our favourite restaurants in Downtown and this was our first visit under the new management. The service was chaotic, just the chef/owner and a waiter who told us he was standing in, although he was extremely friendly. I understand the shortage of staff, it had looked extremely quiet every night we walked by. On the night we ate, there were a further 6 people dining. The menu had changed a little, unfortunately for me, my two favourite dishes were no longer available. I ordered a fish dish with white wine and mushroom sauce, the portion was huge (for me) and the fish was cooked well but it was very bland. The dauphinois potatoes that accompanied the meal used to come in a separate dish but just a small portion placed on the plate along side some ratatouille? My husband had the beef bourguignon, which was dry and seemed liked it had been slow cooked for three days, he too had the dauphinois and thought they were also overcooked.

It's a shame, they tried very hard, they even deducted my husband's meal and drinks from the bill although we insisted we wanted to pay. So customer service is clearly important to them. They may have been having an off day? We will try it again on our next visit and give them the benefit of the doubt.
