“Atlantic City Dolphin Cruise”

Atlantic City Cruises
Reviewed 28 June 2018

We enjoyed the dolphin cruise.

The captain provided a great deal of information during the whole experience.

Despite the conditions being somewhat rough, we did see a couple of pods of dolphins.

It was an awesome experience.

5 minutes into the Cruise--saw a dolphin and dozens more. 10 years ago we saw none on same cruise--but you get a free return trip that never expires if that happens. The crew was wonderful--friendly and informative captain. It was a lot of fun for my husband and I as well as our 2 kids (almost 11 yearold son and 6 1/2 yearold daughter). Highly recommended! (Discounts out there and wear long pants and light jacket--windy on the water). Some snacks provided and restrooms on board too.

We booked the 11:00am/morning cruise, just to kill an hour and get out on the water for a little while. The trip was originally supposed to be along the coast along the boardwalk with some narration about the buildings and boardwalk history, but it was an extremely foggy morning and it was impossible to see the coastline clearly. So the captain took us on an impromptu cruise, which turned out to be even better! He took us out into the inlet where we happened upon a small pod of dolphins that he pointed out. Then we went back down along the channel where he took us through the Golden Nugget marina to see the mega yachts, which were very cool....some people have WAY too much money. ;-) Along the way he pointed out various landmarks and houses, and he even pointed out a sea tow in progress. (The ocean version of Triple A) Ironically the broken down vessel being towed was named "Still Floats". It did indeed still float, just didn't run. :-)
There was a group on board that was a family reunion, and the captain mentioned them often ("I know the owner of that mega yacht, and he's on board today...the head of the Marshall family reunion!") and kept them and us entertained.
There was even a great restaurant, the Back Bay Ale House, right on the dock and we got some great shrimp po' boys after the cruise.
What could have been a wash-out cruise due to fog turned out to be a good time, and probably better than just looking at casinos on the boardwalk. We definitely recommend it!

Easy access to marina and convenient parking. Local restaurants make it a perfect outing for brunch before your cruise. The crew were most helpful and informative. Boat itself is comfortable and offers open deck and covered seating if the sun is too strong. There is also beverage service on board, including the adult kind. Views are unobstructed from both sides of the vessel and the Captain gives you the "heads up" when dolphin are in sight. The company maintains a policy which allows a free cruise if you fail to see dolphin on your outing. In our case, the Captain himself was not happy with the few dolphins we did see, so he gave everyone a free coupon for another cruise. Can't ask for more than that! This is fun for couples, families, children and seniors. We would recommend not bringing small children as the cruise is fully two hours long. Some smaller children might not have the attention span necessary to enjoy themselves. Can't wait to go again!

This is a fantastic tour to watch dolphins off the NJ coast. My child was thrilled and excited. The captain and the crew are professional, kind, and courteous. Highly recommended.
