The penthouse is located about 4 miles or so downtown. Very calm and peaceful place with an overall atmosphere very cozy and relaxing.
I stayed 7 night in this penthouse in a very spacious.
The out door hot tube was a night touch..
Having breakfast downstairs at the near by restaurants was definitely the best way to start a day.
Feeling at home!
Great place, great host. This apartment and 2101, in the penthouse, are both managed by Mark. Stayed at another, smaller apartment in the building and it was a joke. But this place and the other one Mark manages are the gems of the building. Highly recommend.
This Penthouse was the perfect spot for my family!! Very spacious, clean and the view is gorgeous! We had a party of 7 adults and 4 children and had tons of space! There are 3 separate balconies so everyone can have their own space. The maid service is highly recommended!! She was a fabulous cook and the apartment was always clean as was our clothes washed and folded. The owner was always very helpful and contacted me back with every question and request immediately. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!! Loved it!!
Most of all, Fernando and Sandra care about their guess. They respond to emails, answer questions, and take care of noted concerns very quickly. The penthouse is beautiful, spacious, and the views are outstanding.
Hey Mark. Back home in chilly southern Connecticut 11 hours after leaving there. Tough leaving. The city, the environment but namely, this ridiculously fine condo. Views are insanely good. My buddy's cousin was there and he showed her and her husband the view. They were speechless and so were we. Clean, modern, up to date, fresh and BIG. Place can hold many more than our group of 4. Also, the free WiFi was great to connect with our families back home.
Just to the left and right of the building front, there are several little restaurants with good breakfast and lunch food for very reasonable prices. There are hawkers out there trying to sell shirts, jewelry, cigars, etc... "No gracias" is all you need to say, though some of those guys DO actually have good items for cheap. Even bought one bunch of fat, fresh purple grapes for like less than $3.
A CHEAP, 10 minute, $2-3 taxi ride to the centro can be obtained right in front of the building. Or you can walk. Felt very safe.
The staff are very professional, too. Most speak little to no English so try to learn some basics. On the day we got there, Mark, a Cartagena resident originally from Colorado, met us for Fernando. He was in the lobby when we arrived. We were early so had to wait until check in time. No problem. Small local restaurants were right there. He let us lock our suitcases in a holding area until check in time. (Saw ot b er suitcases there, too. Totally fine). Finally, he brought us up, showed us around this great condo and gave us his info. He stayed in touch throughout our stay, suggesting restaurants and entertainment options day to day.
Elevators in the building are the small, European type. More than 5 max is pushing it in there. They will get snug sometimes, depending on the time of day, but 20 seconds or so is ok.
Early May, when we went, is the start of the rainy season. We lucked out and had a dry week until the last morning, when it poured heavily. We plan on returning in February, the dry season (December to April).
One last thing. We ran into 3 groups of Americans who we compared apartment notes with during our stay. Each wound up asking for our apartment info in the end. This place is unbeatable.
