Description: A Wonderful Dim Sum Restaurant

We found this restaurant through a Lonely Island guidebook, and it quickly became our favorite restaurant in Xiamen! The dimsum here is soo good and there is a huge variety to choose from! Walking in, you have to take a small elevator upstairs to the dining area. When we went it was pretty busy, but we were seated fast. Outside the windows, you have a gorgeous view of the harbor and ships sailing by. Service is good, as it doesn't take much to catch the attention of the servers running around.

This dimsum restaurant isn't the kind where you can pick and choose off waiters carrying dishes. You are given a menu (we had to ask for the English one, which they have!) and choose the dishes that you'd like. Also, prepare for it to be loud, rather than a quiet intimate setting, since the room meant to seat many people. Everything we ordered was really good. What's more, you can walk off your meal along the marina next door! I can't wait to eat at this restaurant again on my next visit to Xiamen!

If you love to eat dim sum and not seafood then this is a perfect place for you. Their menu is with picture so its easier for you to order. They have branches already. I tried near hubin road.:) the name in xiamen beside lucky full is “laofucheng” in chinese. I love their taro cubes with sugar, the salad, pigeon, goose not pecking duck, the bun with pork, the only seafood i tried is the oyster cake which is pretty good as well. Price is not cheap but worth it for me.:)

We were in Xiamen on business. Our client told us about this restaurant, which is across from the Pan Pacific hotel, which where we were staying. We heard this place is usually crowded and there could be a waiting list. We were lucky to get one of the last few tables left. The staff was quick to take your order and food came reasonably fast. We eat Asian often enough that we could pick out what we wanted for dinner from the photos of the food on the menus. The food was very tasty that we went back to this restaurant a couple nights later.

Went here a few times.

Good quality Chinese food.
Massive restaurant, always busy, even at 11pm at night when locals come for a 'late supper' - some even in their pyjamas.

The restaurant is opposite the Pan Pacific Hotel. Its a large, well appointed venue and has quite an extensive menu comprising dim sum choices and non dim sum choices. The menu has photographs of the food which should make it easier for non-Chinese clientele who can order by pointing at the dishes. Bring a sense of adventure, be prepared to be surprised and try new things. I did not know the exact nature of what I had ordered by I enjoyed the meal nonetheless.

Other reviewers here have described this as a Cantonese restaurant. I suspect this is not so. The giveaway is that the menu identifies quite a few items as Chaozhou/Teochew style food. While it may not be as popular as its Cantonese cousin, Teochew dim sum exists.
