This is a brilliant one week voyage of exploration in the Straits of Magellan with people who really know what they are doing -- where you are going, and what you will see, all timed to the vagaries of the weather and movements of wildlife and glaciers. Only 15 passengers, including scientists and renowned photographers, this was a trip of a lifetime. In and out of zodiacs, onto the shore to see albatrosses breed, seals, sea lions and whales, explore the vegetation and drink pisco sours in the shade of a glacier. Magnificent scenery and no sign of man. Safe, clean, comfortable, and fine seamanship -- all on a former Falkland's Island mailboat. Unforgettable.

Have been several times and the navigation itineraries vary taking you to new places. You will land is places where men has not been before, visit glaciers at various locations and able to wonder around with no restrictions...it is really and adventure.
The wildlife is abundant ad varied such as penguins of various species, skuas, whales, killer whales, elephant seals and more.
The the vessel is safe and clean...a warning...this is not a trip for dieting. The food is outstanding and abundant no to mention the desserts and the snacks available 24 hours. There is an open bar at no extra cost. While cruising seminars are offered about the area transited, wildlife videos and movies as well as reading material.
And finally the staff is outstanding not to forget the chef who provides great meals with an artistic presentation. Really an operation run with the excellence rarely found today.

Guys if you are already beyond the masive boat tours after feeling like a sheep and making lines to see something real in the wild, then you are fully prepared to take a small and personalized adventure like the one we did past January with my wife sailing in the Forrest through out the Strait of Magellian in the most deepest south of Patagonia. I can guarantee you will find deep geographic knowledge by the Forrest crew but foremost a true understanding of what a nature photographer is always seeking, the bare untouched nature at its best. All this complemented with delicious food cooked every day and the great bonus of making true friends in such a small but selected group of passengers.
