From being met at the airport with cold towels, drinks and a gift to being dropped back three days later, everything about the service was exemplary.
So much was bundled into the price too - airport transfers, complimentary snacks and cookies, massages, dinner, a very upscale picnic out at the Angkor Wat site prepared by one of the chefs and served by a waitress!
The hotel is located in something of a back street and its smart though modest garden facade belies lovely communal areas and large, comfortable rooms surrounding an attractive pool.
We stayed in one of the ground floor, pool-side rooms which had a large covered patio with swing seat and large lounger; rooms on higher floors had balconies.
The hotel organised a guide and driver for our exploration of the Angkor Wat site and provided an extensive picnic breakfast for the sunrise element. The free 1 hour full body massages were so good that we immediately booked further treatments for the following morning (at what, to us, were astonishing good prices).
It was a short walk or $1 tuk-tuk ride (when the heat and humidity were a little too overwhelming) from the centre of Siem Rep with the Night Market, Pub Street and other attractions. One further advantage was two very respectable eateries within very easy reach, the Khmer Grill and Genevieve's (both reviewed separately).
We were lucky to be granted a slightly later checkout and even then, after a couple of sweaty hours looking around the town, they afforded us the use of another room to shower and change before whisking us back to the airport.
An exceptionally good experience all round.

Room Tip: Ground floor for easy access to pool and outside space; higher floors for slightly larger rooms.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is an easy walk to the one of the night market, wet goods (foods) day market and Pub Street area where many of the restaurants are located.

The front desk desk people are super friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that your stay is perfect. Each time I came to the front desk, they provided, cold tea, snacks or information with a smile.

This hotel cannot be beat for value. Yes, it's not a fancy 5 star but for the price of your reservation they provide a fantastic buffet breakfast of cooked to order eggs, Pho, croissants, baked goods, fruits, cereal, as well as cooked steam table items. The pool is very nice after a long day to temple visits. They also provide one free lunch or dinner at their restaurant and a take away lunch to bring to the temples with you. Although we did not use the service, I believe they provide free transportation to and from the airport. They also have free happy hour 5-6 each night with free wine and beer with a few nibbles. Also had a free welcome fruit drink with, fresh fruits, rice cakes at check-in. We ate at the restaurants 2 times and thought that the flavoring of the foods were perfect. We usually are not hotel restaurant type of travelers, but after a long day of visiting temples in 100 degree heat, it was very nice to enjoy the free happy hour, then relax with a meal at the hotel (as mentioned before, one was the free meal - a set menu of 4-5 courses). The restaurant is not air conditioned but it has ceiling fans as well as floor fans. Try the Khmer special cocktail. Most delicious drink in our 3 weeks travel, fresh passion fruit, soda, and vodka. Terrific!!

I gave the hotel 5 stars although it had some negatives, but the value and friendly staff was well worth the fifth star.

So the positives first: large rooms, all the included free things, close proximity to shopping and restaurants ( tuk tuk) rides were 3-4 dollars to farther locations, excellent restaurant. Front desk staff desk that will go out of their way to make it perfect. Very fast wfi.

Negatives: strange utilitarian concrete walls in the bathroom although remodeled, non-air conditioned restaurant, no comfortable seating in the room, street noise in the pool area, very warm rooftop cocktail astro turf area (not usable during the day) but OK during the evening and cocktail time.

At check-out, they gave us free t-shirts. Definitely the place if value is important to you.

We stayed 4 nights in the Golden temple Hotel. We weant for around trip in South-east Asia but in this Hotel i felt very big care. stuff was amazingly helpful from the first day until last day. They came to the airport to transfer us and we recieved with very warm welcome.
When I entered to the hotel I felt harmony and kindness everywhere. Everything is green around the hotel and the decoration is amazing inside. The free massage was amazing so I tried another type of massage here.I realy loved the ginger tea after the massage The breakast is enough copious.
We went for a one day mountain trip with a very good tour guider and driver. This trip was a good opportunity to get a picture about cambodian nature and culture. The location of this Hotel is totally the best.
If you searching for an accomodition in Siem reap where you can feel care and harmony choose the Golden Temple Hotel.

We visited the Golden Temple with our friends to celebrate our friends 50th bday.
The hotel is in a great location only minutes away from pub street and the night markets. As it was our friends bday we decided to book the residence suites and were blown away by how spacious and lovely the rooms were. They had private balconies with swing beds that were big enough for 2, a great way to relax after a day touring the temples. We had contacted the hotel prior to arriving to let them know it was our friends birthday and on the 2nd night we came back to the hotel and they had filled their room with balloons and done a Happy Birthday on their bed in flower petals. This was followed up by a birthday cake at dinner with all of the staff gathered around sing happy birthday to our friend, absolute gold! They also threw in the drinks for free.
We had organized a 2 day temple tour (including a sunrise at Angkor Wat, not to be missed!) through the hotel and had a great guide, Ry who made the temples come alive.
The hotel also has a happy hour between 6-7.pm where the beer, wine and soft drinks are all free.
The day spa is also great, we had a free 60min massage in our package but opted to go back 2 times after this as the treatments were so good and cheap, approx US$30 for 2 hrs.
The staff at the hotel were exceptional, the service was some of the best we have had and we have travelled extensively and stayed in some very nice hotels.
Definately the place to stay if you are visiting Siem Reip!

Provide free transportation to and from airport.
Close to pub street, within walking distance.
Very good service indeed. Highly recommend for families and couples for leisure visit of Siem Reap.
As the hotel does not have many rooms, need to book earlier to have a better rate.
