This place has the feel of deep time. Our guide explained many of the functions of the various features of this temple as well as legends of surrounding landforms. This is an important site to take in when learning about the history of the area.

This is not an island you go to spend a full day unless you intend to hike all around it. But it is a stop to or from the Island of the Sun worth doing it if only to imagine for half an hour how young virgin women lived there, separated from the rest of the world, having no contact with friends and family, waiting to see if the Inca ruler would come and choose them to be part of his harem.

This was a quick stop. The boat brought us to a small building where we could pay our entrance fee (it is a very small fee). There is a super short ‘hike’ to get up to the ruins. Again, not a ton to see, but worth the visit.

Very difficult to reach unless you rent a private boat in Copacabana. Anyway, i wouldn't miss this island as it's surely smaller than isla del sol but i felt much higher energy there.
