We had a 3 night stay for a business trip. The room was below average(not updated, with horribly uncomfortable beds and pillows. We had doubts on whether the bedding was new and clean for our stay. The floors were poorly vacuumed and dirty. The fridge worked but was very loud - all night long. The pools and facilities are GROSS!! The food is terrible. Like many poster's, zero info. was given at check in regarding amenities, and customer service is sorely lacking. Simple things like where the pools are and if there are guest towels(those by the way NEED to be replaced!) were never mentioned. Back to the pools, slide, and facilities. Everything was filthy, we were afraid we'd catch something. The hot water vents are not marked and more than a few people were burned with extremely hot water on their feet from unknowingly walking on the vents in the pools, black debris and large amounts of HAIR floated everywhere. I didn't see swim diapers required, and there were lot's of babies and toddler's in the pools. The outdoor pool had feces floating in the pool!! It appeared that the poop was scooped out and the pool re-opened without shocking the water. GROSS!! There'green slime all over the pools and slide and the slide stairs are scary - use at your own risk (imo). We will not be revisiting nor recommending Fairmount Hot Springs. Buyer beware.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a nice time, the place filled up quick and we actually had two stay in two different rooms but switching was made easy by management and both rooms were comfortable for a family of 5. The pools are super fun and we floated, played and soaked for hours each day. The waterslide is extra but worth it! The restaurant onsite was decent and had very friendly staff, the grounds are kept up fairly well and had a nice picnic and playground area around back. We felt safe and in good company and hope to return many more times over the coming years. Lots to do and see within 1/2 hr in every direction. Go have fun!!!

Stayed over the weekend May 12-13. Woke up to no power and hot water on Sunday the 13th, room service didn't show up until 4:30 so our room didn't get cleaned at 175 dollars a night that's unacceptable. Food was horrible and over priced with the exception of breakfast. Ordered a chicken ranch pizza because they ran out of marinara sauce, probably the worst pizza we've ever had!

I had a 1-day course Sunday at Fairmont so I brought the who family with for a Saturday night stay. We arrived at about 3:45 pm. The whole check-in process took only about a minute. Normally that is a good thing, but I felt we hardly received any information about the resort. I guess you need to know what questions to ask. I inquired about a late check-out and the gentlemen said I'd have to ask the next morning. I did and the lady the next morning with no questions asked gave us the extra hour from 11 am to 12 pm. Our room with 2 queen beds was clean. The clothesline in the shower didn't work, which was a bit disappointing when trying to air dry so many swimsuits and towels. The air conditioning in our room didn't appear to work which made the room unpleasantly warm. Leaving the screen door open all night wasn't an option because of the outdoor noise. There was also a lot of noise from the 3rd floor above us between 10 pm and midnight. If you're a stomach sleeper don't forget to bring your own pillows because the pills were very thick. The fridge and microwave worked well. The sink water in the rooms tastes like hot spring water. Everyone enjoyed the pools. They provide guests with towels. The towels are small, but they work. We didn't notice any robes for guests. As noted from the year prior the stairway up to the slide is in major disrepair. Very dirty, rusty, sharp floors. They have a nice outdoor playground for kids. Also a petting zoo. I didn't notice anywhere to buy food to feed the animals. We didn't use the mini golf, nor did we find any info on it. They also have an indoor play area on the 2nd floor. I think the biggest complaint most people have about the resort which we share is that all the staff and lifeguards need re-training on how to interact with their guests in a courteous and professional manner.

Room Tip: Ask for the 3rd floor
