We spent a night at 3 Ponientes in low season (end of winter). It's in an easy-to-find, convenient location. The hotel staff - all women when we were there - were lovely and welcoming.
The hotel itself is a bit 'worn out' eg the carpet feels very thin underfoot, the stairs feel a bit wonky and there's a waft of stale cigarettes in the stairwell. The room was an OK size and some effort had been made to update the decor, for example the bed had a proper lightweight but warm doona/quilt (not a comforter) with a funky, retro-patterned cover on it. The room was clean, the wifi & TV worked well, there was an open-able window, and the shower was very good.
Breakfast was included and you had to give the time you wanted it to the desk staff the night before. The breakfast for 2 was Tang-tasting orange 'juice', instant coffee (powder from a sachet), 2 pieces of cake, 4 fresh (nice) small bread rolls, 3 slices of cheese and 3 slices of ham, which we found a little unsatisfying. I think it's better to not choose breakfast there and walk a few blocks to Fika Cafe.
I was surprised that it cost USD80+ and didn't think it represented good value for money.More
