I booked Atlantis the Palm for 3 nights and I visited Acquapark 3 times with my two daughters (4 and 7), it was a blast.. we really enjoyed many attraction although it was very crowded during the weekend.. However, the weekdays it was almost empty and this is really the best days if you want to fully enjoy all the slides..

There is so much to do...for the brave as well as for the not-so-brave! I'd advise to try all the rides once at least, specially the shark attack!

We essentially came to Dubai to visit this water park and stay at Atlantis. As you get free access from staying at the hotel, it was great to dip in and out of the park as much as you liked.

We have nothing like this in the UK so we really enjoyed the range of slides from tame to extreme. A few suggestions if you plan to visit:

- Get a meal combo straight away so that you can get a refillable cup at a good price - you will save so much money, especially if you are going for more than one day

- DEFINITELY take water shoes if you're going during summer. Even at 10am the floor is too hot to walk on in June-August time.

- Wear more sunscreen than you think you need to - so many red people burning without a care in the world

- When they say lift your bum up on the tube slides, they mean it. My partner bruised his lower back so badly on slide one that we thought he'd broken his coccyx

- Don't fret about what to wear in the water - there are people in everything from bikinis to a full on a tracksuit (???). The park does not enforce their own clothing rules

One suggestion I would make to the park is that they really need to sort out their queuing systems. Too many times we had incidents with people pushing past to get to the front of the queue. People just couldn't wait their turn and because the queuing areas are quite wide, it's hard to stop people coming past you. Very disheartening when you wait for ages patiently. Secondly, if you say you close at 7, why stop people going into various attractions at 6.15? Bit disappointing on our last day trying to make the most of the park.

Definitely the best Waterpark I have been to. The waters are so nice and cold when it's hot outside. The biggest lazy river I have ever seen with rapids and waterfalls. Some of the slides go straight through Shark tanks. And the aquarium that makes up part of the park is awesome. Definitely a must do when you go to Dubai.

Excellent water park with great slides, but watch out for Poseidon's revenge, which is a free fall ride: I hurt my backside when I landed in the tube and I was in pain for a week afterwards. There are no warnings about this, so you should consider yourself warned! The food and water in the park is expensive and not that great. If you have to take the bus back to the car park at the end of the day, be aware that the bus will wait at the bus stop a little walk from the main entrance: turn right when exiting the building (where the taxis are) and keep walking round until you see a small car park, which is where the bus will be waiting. You can't see this from the main entrance until you walk around to it.

If you visiting, then get the Dubai explorer pass: you get a good discount off the entrance fee.
