Description: Dyen Sabai offers Lao typical food. From November to August, we offer breakfast. We also have a nice selection of desert (foreigner sweet.. sorry the Laotians don't eat that much sweet!!) We also, have happy hour from noon to 7 pm, 2 cocktails for the price of one, on selected cocktails. You can reach us with a bamboo bridge (in dry season) (there is a fee for the bamboo bridge of 5,000 kips from 8 am to 8 pm, after this the bamboo bridge is free). We also do free boat from noon to closing when the bamboo bridge is not there (rainy season only)

We went a couple of nights ago with family and friends. We walked to the restaurant from Luang Prabang Peninsula over the very rickety bamboo footbridge over the Nam Tham. In fact a couple more days later the footbridge was disassembled for the wet season.

Sat at a long table in one of the open air sections as the heavens opened. We had the Sindad (Lao barbecue) which was beautiful and reasonably priced. We had an excellent time and I recommend Dyen Sabai wholeheartedly!

Lovely multi-level bar/cafe built into the hillside. Great spot for drinks and the food smelled great (we didn’t eat). The bamboo bridge to get here enhanced the experience !

We really liked Dyen Sabai. We had crossed the Bamboo Bridge to go to the Pizza place over there only to find that it was closed for a few weeks. Lucky for us, we found Dyen Sabai instead and enjoyed a really delicious meal there. We can recommend Platter 1 and the chocolate fondue for dessert although most others were eating BBQ at their tables :) Very cool place with dim lighting backing down to the river.

Most people seemed to have the signature fondue, meat, fish or tofu, which fed two of us. You basically have a broth and boil your own veg while bbq your meat etc on the top.

A nice atmosphere by the river, reasonable price and nice flavours added to a nice evening.

Located on the other side of he river to the old town.
