I had mixed feelings about visiting this site, but it is well worth it. This is a palace of the royal family who lived here until they were overthrown in 1952. You wander though the palace looking at the amazing jewelry and furnishing. The room I liked best was the royal bathroom with unique fixtures that really gives you a feeling of how these royals lived. Do not miss this. It is an interesting experience. Oh, by the way, if you are fortunate to be there at lunch, you might be invited, as we were, to the staff lunch in the back of the palace. Great food!!

Despite the fact that it's a small museum that you can finish in about 30-40 minutes, it's really nice and contains a beautiful collection of the king's jewellery. The place itself is wonderfully clean and smells nice with astonishing designs of the walls and the roof, but don't look up for too long haha. Everything is labelled inside so you won't feel lost or anything and you'll understand everything easily. Remember that photos are not allowed inside except if you purchase a special ticket for that, it costs 50 Egyptian Pounds, I didn't really find it worth it to be honest since there's no good spots for you to take pictures inside and the jewellery didn't appeal to me that much, but for who admires shiny stuff maybe you should buy it. Enjoy it! :)

Many times, jewelry collections are overwhelming. This collection housed in a beautiful building is well worth the hour or so you spend here. In addition to the beautiful jewelry collection, the building and it's wood work, painted ceilings and beautiful tile add to a very pleasant overall experience.

A small palace presents a group of most fascinated royal jewelries of Egyptian monarch (19th & 20th centuries). I visited with my family, we watched plenty of crowns, jewels, antics which tells a lot of stories about living standards of such super-aristocratic society. despite the luxurious ambiance, a ticket costs less than 1 Dollar ....
