Arena, or Amphitheater, is the biggest attraction in Pula. They run Gladiator shows every week and during these shows the guide also gives glimpses of history using his assistants who picture different scenes (quite funny). Overall could be interesting, especially for kids.
The Pula Gladiators team holds 1st place in Roman Gladiator Games two years in a row. The fights are not staged in a meaning that the outcome is not known, and although there is obviously no blood, they fight for real.
The program starts at 8.30, runs for 1,5 hours, is in English but they give out the booklets in other languages. Cost for adult ticket - 80kn, for children (3-18 years) - 40kn.
The Arena itself is quite impressive and spacious (can sit around 3000 visitors) but getting tickets is not a problem. We didn’t have all the space taken when we were there.
At the end you can go to arena and make pictures with Gladiators and buy souvenirs. Again, fun for the kids.
Summary - recommend for one visit.

We can see all from the walk around or from Scala cafe. Prices seems to be +30% on 2017. Croatia has learned to raise tourist prices to extravordinary level. So for the colosseum..dont waste money..lokk through the fence...

Well maintained and with good explanation billboards. Quite impressive to be at the center and look around. If you go, don't forget to visit the underground room, bellow the arena. Well worth the money and the time

As the main attraction in Pula we felt we must visit when passing near the town. Parking is within a short walk and it was easy to find a place at 9:30 in the morning, when we returned cars were circling around trying to find a free space.
While the outside walls are well preserved and look magnificent there is very little to see inside although there is an interesting underground exhibition (sadly full of tour groups so it was difficult to get around). As a result our visit only lasted about an hour but we would not have missed it.
