Arena, or Amphitheater, is the biggest attraction in Pula. They run Gladiator shows every week and during these shows the guide also gives glimpses of history using his assistants who picture different scenes (quite funny). Overall could be interesting, especially for kids.
The Pula Gladiators team holds 1st place in Roman Gladiator Games two years in a row. The fights are not staged in a meaning that the outcome is not known, and although there is obviously no blood, they fight for real.
The program starts at 8.30, runs for 1,5 hours, is in English but they give out the booklets in other languages. Cost for adult ticket - 80kn, for children (3-18 years) - 40kn.
The Arena itself is quite impressive and spacious (can sit around 3000 visitors) but getting tickets is not a problem. We didn’t have all the space taken when we were there.
At the end you can go to arena and make pictures with Gladiators and buy souvenirs. Again, fun for the kids.
Summary - recommend for one visit.
