“Awful service, ok view and desperately in need of renovations”
Reviewed 26 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

I stayed here with two friends the last two nights and was very disappointed with this property for a number of reasons.

First, they outsource to a property management company. This particular company has an office in the main city area of Dubrovnik, and you must transfer there (on your own) in order to pick up the key. They then refuse to allow check in until 5pm - which to me seems like a very late offer.

At checkin, I was very disappointed in the service. The reception was quite rude and unaccommodating, and actually yelled at my friend when he called to inquire about details of an early flight.

The apartment itself has a reasonable view, although much is blocked by large trees. The deck is quite old and has not been renovated in years. There is a large garden area full of crumbled rocks, a concrete patio, and what seems to be an abandoned work shed. As well, there were no amenities in the home. No soap, shampoo, coffee, supplies or food of any kind. The kitchen as well as one bedroom was full of ants with no traps anywhere to be seen.

Finally, at check out they insist on 10am with no flexibility. Given they don't allow check in until 5pm I'm a bit confused by this! We were able to (eventually) check out at 11am with much debate.

We moved into a new apartment a street up for half the price and twice the view with 10x the hospitality.

Moral of this story is to look to a different property (and company!) to book with as Dubrovnik is full of absolutely top-notch properties and places!

“Excellent house, excellent location”
Reviewed 26 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Perfect house for a group or family wanting to explore beautiful Dubrovnik in what we were told by our driver is a very exclusive area. 4 comfortable double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers and a further toilet downstairs, air con in every room (much needed), outside space with views across to Lokrum (a must see) and just opposite the house, steps down to a beautiful and quiet spot for a swim in the calm sea. 15 mins walk into the old town. Agents were brilliant and really helpful too. You really can't go wrong with this one!

“What a fantastic location”

The house was great, comfortable and very clean. It had most items required for a good holiday. There was an abundance of clean towels. The staff were extremely helpful, especially in organizing a trip to Montenegro. The driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was a fantastic visit. The location was superb, being in a quie residential area overlooking the bay. It was within 10 minutes walk of the old town. A great place to stay.

“Make sure to bring your own towels”

First off, this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a somewhat negative review on Trip Advisor. The house was ideally located and was truly a very nice place. The management company was great about arranging multiple airport transfers and all seemed very good. During check in, there was a very odd/awkward moment where the representative told us not to use towels in the house for makeup, sunscreen lotion, etc. He basically said that we would be buying the towels if the towels were found to be dirty. We looked the towels over and they were not all that clean to start but we figured fair and reasonable treatment would be used with the towels on both sides. We had 5 women traveling (along with 4 men) in our group so we made sure the women were able to find make-up wipes at the store. All 9 of us are very seasoned VRBO, BNB stayers, etc…. The first night we were there, the 2nd floor bathroom had a leak in the pipes. It was dripping all over the beautiful dining table on the first floor. We called the management company and we put towels down to prevent any furniture from damage. The next morning, the management company sent 2 people to fix the leak. They did so rather efficiently, but they did use a couple towels to clean up. At the end of our stay while checking out, the representative immediately went straight up to check on the towels (which I found to be quite odd) and came down to tell us we would need to buy new towels. We explained that the girls used makeup wipes and that most of the dirty towels was from cleaning up the leak on the table, the workers, and existing dirt. He called the management, the management told me we'd need to buy 6 new towels (at $16 a piece for some rathe shabby towels). My guess is, they simply took the money I gave them, did not replace the towels, and are hitting up the current guests for the same thing. The money wasn't the issues (my $ tip to the representative was far greater) but the entire ordeal upset several of my friends and ruined the memory of the house for them. I would suggest in the future that the management company either raise their rates to cover the cost of some towel turnover or state that guests need to bring their own towels so that they can avoid unpleasant drama or experiences on an otherwise very nice property.
