Stayed here for 1 week. The apartment is really well equipped and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We were very warmly welcomed and given a run through of all appliances. The owner was most helpful in advance of our stay with information on transfers, taxis etc. The location was perfect - a 10 minute downhill walk to the old town, 5 minutes from the cable car. As you can see from the photo the view was fabulous also. The bed was perfectly comfortable. The owners were also most accommodating in letting us leave our bags in the apartment on departure day and arranging a taxi to take us to the airport. All in all this apartment was pretty perfect with very courteous helpful owners. Would definitely recommend it. One tip - the road outside can be a bit noisy at the weekends but ear plugs are the answer.
Air conditioning was a great asset when we were there as it was so hot outside. Everything was relatively new and spotless. Good towels and bedding. Handy for the local supermarket and the local cafe which was loads cheaper than places in the old town. The walk into town was down hill and took less than ten minutes to walk. A bit longer coming back after beer wine and food and uphill but felt much fitter after a week of useful exercise. The kitchen was compact but well equipped. There were only two of us so the space in the accommodation was fine. It would be a bit tight for four adults and the small balcony would not take four people. It would be fine for a couple with youngish children. We saw very little of the owner as we had been to Dubrovnik several times before and did not need any particular help with places to go or transport etc. What contact we did have was friendly.
Clean well maintained apartment with a great veiw of the old town marina.
A short walk to the old town, takes a little longer on the way back!
The apartment is lovely, well equipped and spacious for two people.Great views from the living room and especially from the balcony (off the bedroom). The balcony is small but ideal for two to enjoy a glass of wine of an evening whilst looking out over the old city.
There is a small supermarket just a minute or two down the hill and it takes maybe 10 - 15 minutes to walk down to Ploce Gate at the Eastern end of the old city ,but takes a bit longer to walk back after a days sight seeing as it is up hill. But that`s the price of having the fine views. It`s also only 10 mins. from the cable car which is well worth a visit.
Our host was very accommodating and communicated well with us. So we had no problems finding the apartment or gaining access upon arrival. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.
The view really is that good so we found it difficult not to eat in and sit on the balcony and just take all in. The apartment is well appointed with a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. A steep path nearby with about 150 steps leads directly to the old city gates and all the restaurants and tourist dives. The supermarket just around the corner is also perfectly adequate. There was a reserved car spot right in front of the apartment just for us and the family were very welcoming and helpful. This was very, very good.
