Our group stayed for 4 nights. Matija was great, she met us with a welcome drinks & gave us maps. It was in a great location and a short walk from the beach and a row of bars and restaurants. Just note there are maybe 200 steps down (if you go to the shop for water etc for your room avoid carrying it up in the middle of the day.)

There was a cleaner every day making the beds and providing fresh towels, wifi was also provided and worked great and the pool and sun loungers where an added bonus.

It was about a 10 minute drive away from the Old Town and because we were a group Matija helped us get taxis to Old Town, she also arranged pickup/drop-off to airport and one of our day trips on a boat tour.

Overall, we had a brilliant time and really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

We stayed for 3 days in Villa Boro, it’s very pretty and has an amazing pool. We had a nice appartment with a terras so we had a beautiful view over the city. The hosts are very very very nice !! I recommend this if you visit Dubrovnik.

Overall this property was comfortable and given prices in Dubrovnik fairly good value for money.

The air conditioning was cold, the pool a refreshing escape from the humidity and heat and there were some nice touches such as the welcome drink and the owner (Matjia?) remembering my birthday and surprising me with a wee vase of flowers and a bottle of local fizz. The outside areas of the hotel were immaculate. The room was nicely decorated with some boutique touches.

However there were some pretty important flaws in this property. The cleanliness of the room and balcony wasn’t great: there were lipstick and foundation marks leftover in the bathrooms, the corners of the rooms, under the bed and the balcony were very dusty. It was serviced each day but it was simply a cursory sweep and a change of towels. The bedspread did not get changed the whole week we were there. Indeed they did not have a properly made up duvet. There were two single sheets which wasn’t particularly nice as a couple. We found a quilted duvet in the cupboard but I refused to sleep under it as there were coffee stains on it and it didn’t look as if it had been washed recently. The fridge didn’t really work either which was really frustrating - we couldn’t keep our water, beer and (disgustingly) our milk cold. Finally, while matjia seemed nice (although her English fairly limited), her husband who showed us to our room was downright rude and unhelpful.

Final point which put a real sour note when we checked out - the owners expect payment in cash. That’s not clear when you book, nor was the added €7 per person at the end - a city tax. ( I’ve since read another review with suggested a tax fiddle and I have wondered about that).

This has the potential to be a lovely property - if they could improve the professionalism of their checkin and out and cleanliness of the rooms.

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Lovely friendly welcome from the owner, lots of good advice given on local bus services, taxi service provided which was cheaper than using street taxis, also used Uber a few times which saved us even more money, really handy service as it's around 40 minute walk from Villa Boro into the old town. We had a one bedroom apartment, lovely and clean, modern and everything provided, clean towels daily and washing up was even done one day while we were out and about which we were very grateful for. Kettle, hob, oven, fridge and toasty maker in the kitchen. Was a little annoying with no hot water through the day, little inconvenient but not a huge issue. Hairdryer in bathroom and iron was provided when asked for. Reception is the owners front room, so they are there on hand 24/7 lovely welcome with glass of wine and a beer. Pool is heated and gorgeous little sun terrace with beautiful views over the bay. Closest super market is around 10 minute walk but not so easy walking back up the steep 200 steps.
We have already recommended this accommodation however no good if have mobility problems. If you are planning a child free trip to Dubrovnik look no further. Lovely local bars and restaurants close by

Great little place, very clean, nice little pool but............. be aware that the owners expect cash only when you leave. This was not explained properly and caused a huge issue when checking out. We had a party of 9 staying and as you can imagine, trying to get around 2,500 euros out of a cash machine isn't going to happen. We did however manage to transfer the euros with online banking. This didn't go down very well with the owners who didn't speak English but all of a sudden were fluent when they realised we didn't have a brief case full of Reddies for their obvious tax fiddle. They were also very annoyed that the UK doesn't have euro as currency. Very miserable man and a wife clearly cooking the books. Apart from that, a lovely place. Wouldn't stay there again just out of principal. If you do, get your cash at the ready!

Room Tip: ask for a sea view
