Walking distance to the old city and has all you need to relax. Pool by the sea was great with attendants for all you need. Breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day and they have wonderful food at dinner as well. Defiantly get a sea view room and they book up fast.

Concierge was very helpful with all our needs. I think it is a four star hotel, but they have everything we could ask for.

Room tip: Get a view room

We wake up every morning to perfect skies & a perfect view of the beautiful island of Lokrum.

We absolutely love everything about this hotel.

Only a short easy walk to the old town of Dubrovnik & away from all those cruise ships.

We went for a superior sea view with balcony in the old, original part of the hotel & couldn’t be happier.

The pool & decking beach are spectacular ... with views to Dubrovnik & access straight into the crystal clear & cooling sea.

All the staff are fabulous & can’t do enough for guests.

And to top it all, a hearty, delicious breakfast with incredible views.

We love it here & recommend to all !!

Just returned from a fantastic week at the hotel where I was travelling with my parents. We all shared one Deluxe Room with Sea View on the top floor. It was their first trip to Dubrovnik and oh my what a treat!

The views of Lokrum Island, Old City and the sea were phenomenal. The room was fine with an extra bed in it too! And the air conditioning, just right and not noisy at all. Maid service was amazing and the turndown service was high quality. Cannot fault the hotel in any major terms and wouldn't want to!

The impeccable cleanliness and calm in the hotel itself and the manners of the staff were a delight and everyone in Croatia is so courteous - esp. at this hotel.

Breakfast spread was all encompassing, even if you want some bubbly. The terrace you have breakfast on is sweeping with its stunning views. All the serving staff again were lovely....

Pool area is dreamy !!!! It has a sea edge saltwater pool and sea access and you can swim with the most brilliant views of the old town in the background- although you will find there are a lot more loungers and people than in most of the publicity shots. The area handles this well and there are 3 members of staff on hand to help with towels and umbrellas and ensure you get a comfortable spot.

However due to the geography of the hotel and the cliff/hillside it is on there is also not so much space to spread out if you are not the first down there to the pool area. So sometimes finding peace means sticking your headphones on and not listening to the small overall crowd when the area is sometimes more busy round the pool with kids or people playing their own music. But they use all the possible space as best they can.

Some constructive criticism- when we stayed there were (as mentioned) 2-3 staff members looking after the loungers and umbrellas and towels. But only one staff member offering to take drinks orders etc. With around 80 people possibly to serve it did take about 15-30mins to order and receive any drinks as he had to walk up to the Beach restaurant a level upstairs and back down each time too... Possibly have another staff member taking orders and one less staff waiting for people to arrive to take their lounger spots??? it did put us off bothering to order drinks at the poolside...

There seemed to be ample space on one side of the outside pool level to run a bar from, which wasn't used by anyone as it was in the lee of the large cliffs and out of the sun. This might also speed things up? The pool and seaside area is closed after 8pm- I think it would make a great intimate place to have drinks or food and seems a bit wasted....

The 'Beach' restaurant is in a lovely spot a bit up some steps on a different level from the pool/seaside area and makes a gorgeous spot to have lunch with sea views and also some shade from beautiful old pine trees. The food choices are generally VERY robust and I was very happy with my large club sandwich and fries- the selection of larger plates and drinks is great etc but for anyone with a smaller appetite there is nt much choice for something as simple as a ham or tuna sandwich or similar... My mum or dad headed to the small supermarket on the road into town most days -and bought a small ham and cheese baguette. Constructively speaking I do believe the hotel is missing out on lots of revenue with the lack of lighter poolside or beach restaurant options for those with less of a huge appetite.

Also due to weddings everyday the 'beach' restaurant was closed from most afternoons onwards.....it's a shame when guests cannot access advertised services on a daily basis...

These points are vastly outweighed by the professionalism of all the staff, the calm beauty of the hotel and its rooms and fantastic service. We really never wanted to leave. It's location is perfect too, and any criticisms are in regards that you pay 'top dollar' to stay at this hotel and just a few tiny things could possibly be tweaked to make it even more excellent.

Thank you so much. We will be back.

Room tip: Deluxe sea View rooms, Floor 7 (top floor) are outstanding+ away from the breakfast terrace. Go for a room facing the sea, not the road.

We were a group of 7 ladies celebrating a 50th birthday. The location of the hotel is amazing; the views were spectacular and only a 10 minute walk into town (uphill coming back, but it keeps you fit!). The rooms seemed better in the newer section of the hotel, although any issues we had were dealt with promptly. The staff were lovely and friendly (even Niko on reception gave us a smile after Croatia won their quarter final!). In particular, we have to thank Nic and the boys around the pool for their great service and the restaurant staff who presented our birthday girl with a lovely surprise at breakfast. We would all definitely return to this beautiful hotel.

Stayed with 6 girlfriends for a long weekend for a ‘big’ birthday treat. The hotel is lovely, we had three rooms, 1 in the newer building and 2 in the older part (altho they are both completely connected). The sea views we had were amazing, with the old town in view as well as the sea and islands. We were on bed and breakfast board. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice for all, usual hot buffet style, bread, pastries, cereal and beautiful fruit. Plenty of fresh coffee and tea served at your table too.

The steps to the pool area are quite steep and terraced, with a cafe bar half way down, which serves great cocktails and food. The pool toilets are here also which is my only little moan really. They could do with having a toilet on the pool level. Not a huge issue for mostly fit and healthy, but it’s a good workout for the legs! The hotel lift does go down to pool level tho so if you don’t fancy the climb back up you can use that. The lovely pools guys work really hard to make everything perfect, they bring you beds and towels, no fighting for a sun bed here! There’s a waiter service for drinks too.

The rooms have all the usual facilities, the maid service was brilliant, efficient and friendly. Air con in our room was great, one of the bedrooms in the older part wasn’t as good however. The hotel did their best to remedy it but think it just wasn’t as efficient as in the newer part.

It’s a 10 minute walk to the gates of the old town and is downhill, which means coming back takes a bit longer and a bit more effort as it’s up hill! We enjoyed it and used it as a way of burning off the cocktails and food we ate in the beautiful old town!

The girls had spoken to the restaurant staff and they surprised me on our last morning with a lovely birthday cake and champagne. I can’t praise all the staff highly enough, so friendly and helpful, a real credit to the hotel.

We all loved the hotel and Dubrovnik’s beauty and really friendly people. I’ll definitely be back.
