We stayed in Spit before our boat trip for one week, it was the meeting point for four couples. The hotel staff was excellent, especially Mira who helped us out. They have an elevator which came in handy as we had way too much baggage.
There are some tables on the side of the hotel you can use, we ended up having a little party for 10 out there. The hotel is owned by Canadians, funny to have the little Canada flags there. We loved split and were very happy with the hotel.

We had to book a hotel in Split for one night because of our flight, so we chose this one, based on reviews from this site. We booked a top floor suite at 370E (this was a special occasion), and this was confirmed by the hotel. When we arrived we were shown to a small dark room on a lower floor. We explained no, this wasn't what we booked, but were told there was nothing they could do, this was all they had , the hotel was full. We refused to pay 370E for it, and insisted on speaking to the manager. \Only after kicking up a fuss did he agree to charge us for the inferior room, and threw in a discount when we said we were still unhappy. Our gripes were many. Apart from not getting what we booked, the toilet door didn't open fully (it hit against the shower), there was no plug in the sink, and there was a strange "lip" between toilet and bedroom, ideal for stubbing your toe. This was referred to as a 'junior suite' but it was a strange layout, a narrow corridor leading past the toilet into the small bedroom, with a tiny sofa in the corner at the end- at the furthest possible point from the TV, so if you wanted to watch TV, you had to lie on the bed. Which was not king, despite what the website says. The breakfast room was tiny, with very little choice and no room to move. The whole thing smacked of cheap and nasty.Even at the reduced rate, we felt ripped off. But maybe the manager did us a favour. If, as he said, the room we'd booked was only marginally bigger and had the same bed, we'd have felt really ripped off.

Room Tip: we had room 304- I cannot recommend that at all.

No doubts that this hotel has one of the best locations. Room is nice and the woodflooring should make it easy to keep it clean. During stay rooms are cleaned or so very late which makes it uncomfortable if you want to refresh between appointments.
For breakfast better send your customers to the next bar or cafeteria.
All in all good but for what you really get a bit too expensive.

The Palace Suites in Split was a beautiful place to stay as part of the Diocletian’s Palace. Number one asset is its location in the center of town was ideal to break touring back at the hotel very unique neon art in my double suite with outstanding bathroom. After 7 days sailing up from Dubrovnik it was a quiet place to regain my land legs. I was able to go to a nearby hotel which had a pool and rested thru to cocktail hour. I would highly recommend for solo travelers. Breakfast was good and you could fill up for a day of excursions. The staff was very helpful and I had a taxi driver waiting for me to take me to the airport. He was safe and friendly. I will stay longer on my next trip. There was a safe available and great inexpensive restaurant's with in walking distance

Room Tip: Ask for a double bed and you ll get another room.

For a heritage building the rooms a very spacious and modern. The reception staff were extremely helpful and provided some great tips to see the real Split. Breakfast is a free buffet, more than adequate to set you up for a busy day of getting the best out of Split. The location is ideal, very handy to the Port, bus station and all the sights and meeting points for excursions

Room Tip: down side noise from above with heavy footed guest walking around. Once you shut the windows there is no noise at all from the street below
