We were out since early morning, doing a train trip to Colon and visited the Pedro Miguel Locks and Fort Lorenzo. All this time we were on minimum food of breakfast bars, munchies, water. By the time we returned to Panama, it was very late in the afternoon and we wanted a good meal to calm our hunger. Sabor de la India offers a variety of food. The young girl who greeted and seated us is the owner’s daughter. She was nice and helped us with our food order. We ordered the Dahi puri for starter. Dal makhni, paneer kurma, plain rice and rotis for main course. All the food was delicious and quantity was generous as well. It’s reasonably priced. It’s a family owned restaurant and the Owner is the chef as well.
The decor is not much to talk about and seating is ordinary furniture. Plenty of outdoor seating is available. We definitely liked the young girl’s enthusiasm and courtesy. The food was tasty. They can definitely improve a little on cleanliness and decor and also the bathrooms.
