We were out since early morning, doing a train trip to Colon and visited the Pedro Miguel Locks and Fort Lorenzo. All this time we were on minimum food of breakfast bars, munchies, water. By the time we returned to Panama, it was very late in the afternoon and we wanted a good meal to calm our hunger. Sabor de la India offers a variety of food. The young girl who greeted and seated us is the owner’s daughter. She was nice and helped us with our food order. We ordered the Dahi puri for starter. Dal makhni, paneer kurma, plain rice and rotis for main course. All the food was delicious and quantity was generous as well. It’s reasonably priced. It’s a family owned restaurant and the Owner is the chef as well.

The decor is not much to talk about and seating is ordinary furniture. Plenty of outdoor seating is available. We definitely liked the young girl’s enthusiasm and courtesy. The food was tasty. They can definitely improve a little on cleanliness and decor and also the bathrooms.

Tasty and flavorful dishes. Tried the Dahi puri, Shahi paneer, garlic naan and mango lassi. We never got water and minimal check ins unless we requested something. Friendly staff but inattentive and it wasn’t even busy

I like the food, samosa remind me India (specially north side), paratha was superb, lassi she made was amazing and that was best thing in my food
Bad part, seems staff there more focus on socializing rather than service it should be with togetherness

If food is bad better not to serve, Gulab Jamun seems some packed food which is very old ( not sure if was it edible or not), I left in the plate no one bother to ask why, what is the issue

This small, family-run restaurant just around the block from the Indian Embassy offers good, standard Indian fare. Family friendly and courteous service. Also offers a full pizza menu in case someone in your group doesn’t like Indian food!

Great choice of vegetarian and paneer dishes. Grab an outside table and enjoy a Bollywood movie playing in the background
