Staying just up the road, roll bar has been a convenient chill spot during my lengthy visit to Belgrade.
Admittedly, some of the waiting staff are a bit hit and miss (can come across as rude, quite lazy with their tables) but one bloke makes up for everything - I’m gonna call him Nik because I’ve embarrassingly forgotten his full name.
He makes up for anything lacking here on behalf of a few of the waiting staff. He is incredibly friendly, a visibly a hard worker, and takes care of his patrons - fresh cold water and peanuts are a constant, as is quick and personable service. He truly makes you feel like a local.
In terms of location, roll bar is just off Knez Mihailova - main pedestrian street in belgrade. I’ve eaten in the Main Street numerous times and it’s been a alright or terrible, the only constant is that it’s pricier than anywhere else.
Roll bar is cheaper, friendlier, and has a good range of menu items and cheap beer.
I order the carbonara, which I’ve tried in multiple other restaurants in Belgrade and in Montenegro - Roll Bar is the best...cheapest and tastiest.
Thanks roll bar, Nik deserves a huge bonus for bringing us back every time.
