Owner description: The Plaza Romania is a shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania. The construction, based on an uncompleted hunger circus abandoned after the fall of Nicolae Ceausescu, has 3 distinguishable parts — a central structure with a dome 40 metres in diameter, and two new and complex wing structures. The centre has two functional sections - a mall and a hypermarket, which can be operated independently according to operation conditions. The site also includes an open-air carpark and an indoor carpark.

One of the oldest mall in Bucharest. It's not awful, but it's a mall and nothing special. Has kids place, movie place, food place and shopping shops :)

At some point I thought that Plaza was losing points, as a bigger mall, Afi Palace, close-by, seemed more interesting to many customers. But, anyway, I go rarely to malls, and I haven't been in any of them in a long time.
However, in the past months I happened to go once to Afi and two times in Plaza (yep, to the movies :))), and I was surprised to see how many people are in Plaza again. Maybe because it's been recently renovated and it looks nice, maybe because it's a lot quieter than Afi and people can actually hear each other, maybe because it's smaller and people can visit their favorite shops in 30 min, or get tickets to movies faster, fact is, it's crowded again!
I liked it better when there were very few people there, but on the other hand, this means that Plaza isn't going to be out of business too soon, which is nice :).

It's not the best way to spend time in, but for a rainy day it's OK. Crowded on weekends, full of people that are just walking around, average fast food restaurant and a limited cinema. It's not a must on a visiting list but if you are passing by, don't hesitate to take a look because it's recently renovated.

Just another mall, nothing out of common.Scores of clothes shops, shoes, jewels, travel agencies, banks and so on.There's a pretty big food court,a movieplex and two children playgrounds.A good place to spent a few hours.
