We did the River Safari on Friday with our two kids aged 6 and 4, and we all had the most amazing time. The trip up the river was so beautiful and the commentary from Captain Leps was informative and funny.

The visit to the village was a unique experience and we felt it was respectful to the villagers. We felt welcomed into their village, the food was good and a great chance to try new things and the singing was lovely.

Of course the 360s on the river heading back to Sigatoka were the highlight. We couldn’t get enough! We brought a change of clothes for the kids but for some reason didn’t think this advice would apply to us - new shirts bought at the souvenir shop in Sigatoka and wet pants all the way home to Denarau!!! You will get wet. Very wet. And it will be awesome.

Everything about the day was totally awesome. Captain Freddy ensured we had a great ride and got suitably wet. The village culture tour was really quite emotional, love the Fijian family and how they open their hearts/homes to us. Be prepared to want to give gifts/cash to the village. Thoroughly recommend for all ages (yes even the bored teen behind us lost his "bored" look).

I am smiling from ear to ear when reading your lovely comments here on TripAdvisor and it is awesome to know that you found everything about your Safari adventure to be "totally awesome".

Cpt Freddy was all smiles when I relayed your feedback and that you enjoyed his skills behind the wheel. He sends you his biggest BULA VINAKA!!

As you articulated here, the time spent in your village is special and it is lovely to know that it had the emotional connection that drives the Safari to share this special part of Fiji with our friends. By simply going on Safari you helped your village directly, so a big VINAKA VAKALEVU for choosing to share your Fijian holiday with us.

I had a quiet chuckle in regards to the fellow teenage travel companion even getting into it and enjoying themself. :)

Wishing you a great year ahead and we trust that the memories you made with us are "Simply Unforgettable"

We are very happy to hear from you and learn that you had a "great day out" with Cpt Jack and that you found the experience to be "very organised" which we take to be a great reflection of the team's professionalism, so a big thank you for this.

The village is the key aspect to the Safari adventure with the bonus being the Safari jet boat experience. We understand that some of our older adventurers need alternatives and we always facilitate these requests, no problems at all. We sincerely appreciate you choosing to share your Fijian holiday with us and we hope that the memories you made with us bring you back home to Fiji one day soon.

We did this river safari today and absolutely loved every minute of it!! The boat was so much fun and the village visit was just perfect. We would highly recommend anyone coming to Fiji to do this trip, the staff are wonderful, friendly and a lot of fun and the experience is 10/10! I would just say one thing and that is bring some gifts for the kids of the village! I wish we knew about this before hand because their beautiful little smiles were just priceless.

We really thought this is going to be just another touristy experience, but it turned out great. Our family of 4 (with 2 kids aged 8 and 10) enjoyed the 360-degree spins in the jet boat as well as the beautiful scenery on the Sigatoka River. But more importantly the visit to the Toga Village was unforgettable. Our captain Nrox told us stories about Fiji and the Sigatoka Valley before we reached the village. At the village we were welcomed by the local guide Maggie who briefed us on the itinerary for the day. First, we enter the community hall where we met the villagers for a traditional kava ceremony. We tasted kava for the first time and it tasted somewhat like our traditional Chinese medicine.

We were then invited to tour around the village to learn more about their way of life. We were impressed by how strong the community spirit and bonding was. The villagers live simply and they were happy and contented.

After the tour, we gathered at the community hall again for a sumptuous meal cooked by the ladies of the village. We had grilled chicken with spinach, curried potatoes with tuna, samosas, roti wraps and more!

After the meal, the villagers sang and danced for us. We also joined in for some dancing before bidding the village good bye.

It was really a great experience, immersing ourselves in the real Fijian life and culture.
