We recently visited this port on a cruise and picked up a city tour from just outside the port. We had a great guide (an older lady, forgotten name) and a very good tour much cheaper than on the ship. Guide was very informative and helpful with ideas where to eat etc. Eat at the food market just outside port gate - fantastic range of grilled meat. guide also remembered us the next day when we passed her outside the port gates.

This excursion was booked through Viator.
We did the city tour with the optional vineyard/winery option. The tour and tour guide Bridgette and driver Oscar were great. Our one on one we were a group of six with Bridgett was awesome and we saw and learned much about their beautiful city/country. Bridgette met us at the dock as arranged and spoke excellent English. After visiting all the main sites in the city walking tour we went to the Marichal Winery. This was a family owned winery and one of the sons was our guide he was exceptional very welcoming and kind, superb service. We toured through the production part of the winery but unable to actually go into the vineyard as it was raining heavily. The wine tasting was awesome a beautiful Tannat red wine and very delicious empanadas. Due to the torrential rains in the afternoon we were unable to stroll the La Rambla but we did the next best thing and drove making the best of a rainy afternoon. We loved the itinerary, the driver and the guide. We would definitely recommend this experience. It was a memorable experience and a great value for the money spent.

They did not turn up....left standing there at the meeting point for half an hour. Trouble with booking through an agency like this is you dont know what cowboys they are using. Got our money back...but in there once and this wasted our time
The tourist office was very helpful and we went outside a booked a local minivan tour which was very good

Like to see the city first hand. Without tour guides. Great walking lots of tourist stuff. Safe restaurants good beer. Souvenirs galore.
