I signed up for an evening tour given 2x a month on Fridays. You can purchase your ticket at the pick up location or at a Wong supermarket. They provide transportation to and from museum to the starting point. About 2-21/2 hours. It cost $20 or $22 soles about $7US.
It is a very old and needs some TLC but it is very beautiful. Lots of legends of the people buried there. I found it very interesting. It is safe and secure. You do need a flashlight. Tours are given in Spanish by well informed docents. No really for teen or small children. But it is a big part of Peru's history. Those who like photography will enjoy taking photos although it is very dark so plan ahead. I would love to go back in the daytime!
