This review is a bit late (stayed in November 2017), but our wonderful experience with this hotel remains fresh in our minds. In a nutshell, this is an AMAZING hotel. It comes down to two things- OUTSTANDING service and TOP LUXURY amenities. It excites me to relive the details:

1. Did i say service was excellent? Everyone was genuinely kind, efficient in their work, and impeccably dressed. Our bellhop(Guido) made sure we knew how to work the controls in the room. The front desk arranged everything perfectly for us(even giving us the a generous late checkout-4PM!). The concierge made sure the taxis gave us the right rates. The breakfast servers indulged us with perfectly poached eggs. Coca tea was plentiful and readily served to you in proper teaware. Turndown service was efficient and fast. My only regret is not remembering all of the staff members' names to give them the credit they are due, but shoutout to the crew who took care of us in November 17-19, 2017. To this date, we yet have to experience a more impressive service than the one we experienced at Aranwa.

2. Room and amenities- heated bathroom tiles, towel drying rack, Gold plated tub accents, multiple shower heads, down feather pillows, best bed ever, thick robes and fluffy slippers, amazing antique furniture, elegant sitting rooms everywhere, tasty breakfast spread, I could go on.. Essentially we felt like guests of royalty.

3. Location- walking distance to all the major attractions in Cusco.

If you are deliberating about booking this hotel, absolutely go for it! This is the best way to experience Cusco hospitality. We cannot wait to make our way back to this gem of a hotel.

I have visited Cusco nearly 20 times through my “The Traveling Professor” small group tours. Over that time I have stayed in many hotels in Cusco, including the top rated ones. By a good margin, the Aranwa Boutique hotel is the best. First of all, the location is ideal, near to everything but on a quiet street. The hotel is beautifully classic with works of art, sophisticated furnishings. The hotel is surprisingly big with plenty of comfortable sitting areas. The oxygen pumped into rooms makes a big difference and we are all saying “What altitude sickness?” All of this is well and good but what makes the Aranwa the winner is the top service and staff. They pull it all off and make you feel comfortable and welcome. The Aranwa is the place to stay in Cusco.

Absolutely stunning hotel meticulously restored to its colonial glory and furnished with incredible antiques and beautiful old paintings. You can eat a delicious full complimentary breakfast in the large spectacular courtyard complete with a fantastic fountain and flowers. The staff are so kind and helpful and the rooms are luxurious, loaded with efficiencies like heated floors and a jaccussi tub. The hotel perfectly located close to important tourist attractions. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The furnishing are antique combined with new pieces that are fun! The bed was fantastic! So comfortable and I slept so well. The breakfast had lots to choose from and was good. My room had a view a two church towers, and it was a lovely room. Heated towel rack and floor!! And they pump oxygen in rooms 24 hours because of high altitude. We came in late so just had a bowl of soup in the bar.
It was good. Its on a small street, but we came in late and left early so not a big deal.

Room Tip: Ask for room with view if that is important to you.
