We spent 3days/2night at Cuzco city. The Location of this hotel was pretty good - a few blocks away from the city square. The staff were very charming and helpful ...As soon as we arrived they served us some coca tea. That really helped as the altitude was noticeable as soon as we got off the plane. They serve an amazing breakfast which is included in the price. The rooms are very comfortable and nice deco. Absolutely love this place .We will be back!

We flew into Cusco where we stayed for 2 nights before our trip to Machu Picchu. We stayed at the Amerindia hotel which was incredible .The Hotel is very clean and tidy... interiors are warm and inviting to get relax. They have a yummy breakfast with a lot of fruits, yogurts, cereal, milk, plenty variety of products...It was a great way to start the day, also, the day that we had to go to Machu Picchu , which was very early, they prepared for us a breakfast to go on our way .Stay in Cuzco was one of my favorite vacations. We enjoyed our time at this hotel and appreciate all the hospitality they had to offer.Enjoy the trip and your visit to Machu Picchu! Amazing!!!

I stayed in Amerindia with two other friends and we had such a wonderful time, mainly because of the attention and dedication from the staff, specially Dante Salas Gamarra. He supported us since our arriving, giving tips and making our staying more comfortable.

Room Tip: Our bedroom did not have curtains and the sun woke up us very early. It would be good to ask about a room with curtains.

+ nice hotel with patio
- about 10 min. walking from Plaza de Armas which is positive but the hotel is situated in San Pedro, un infamous part of Cusco, when you leave the street of the hotel be certain to turn left; no elevator; cleaning of the bathroom very poor; on their website they promise a bar, a restaurant, even roomservice. None of all this. I spoke with a staffmember: it seems that the turnover of the hotel is very low, so they do not hire extra staff to keep the restaurant open in the evening. But the least they could do is sell some drinks at the reception-desk, especially water as there is no shop close to the hotel. I would not come back here.

Advertised as accepting cards, including signs on door and reception wall. Not the case ... wasted a lot of time searching for an ATM Sunday morning - when time to check out - had to withdraw sols to pay bill in cash. Locals warned us to go left/left when leaving hotel as streets to right are in dangerous neighborhood. Followed advice but still accosted by a drunk and his friends near hotel entrance one evening. Ugh!
