I was pleasantly surprised to get such a top notch meal at this little airport cafe in Santiago.
Since we had a lot of time, I had time to Google translate much of the Spanish menu.
The Mediterraneo ensalada I ordered was beautifully presented, and had 2 perfectly prepared pieces of salmon amongst a hearty portion of lettuce leaves, tomatoes, baby choclo, avocado and artichokes. It was very reasonably priced at about 8000 pesos.
My hubby ordered the Caliente salmon wrapped in a cooked ham, but somehow lost in translation, he received the salmon tartar.
Once the waitress was alerted, she quickly returned the meal for the correct one, with no argument.
The menu has a great selection of grills, seafood dishes, sandwiches, salads, pastas and pastries, as well as wines, beers and coffees.
The total bill for 2 delicious meals and 2 glasses of red wine was surprisingly very reasonable, considering the location.
Best airport food I've ever had!

If you think an airport restaurant is the last place you'd like to eat, Le Fournil might surprise you. It's part of a French-themed chain, and it's perfectly perched right beside the arrivals door at the Santiago international terminal... so you can even sit and eat and drink and watch at the same time if you're meeting someone.
However, I did find the service a bit offhand - probably because the staff only expect to ever see customers once.
It sounds like a football scoreline, but it serves quality coffee - the espresso is excellent - at medium-to-high prices. But it isn't outrageous. The macaroons are very good too - a giant one costs 1,800 pesos.
It can seat 200, there's a French accent on the cooking and there's a mix of firm and banquette wall seating.
Perhaps he was having a bad day, but when my waiter brought my bill and took my credit card, he demanded to know: 'Are you giving a tip?' I thought this a bit abrupt, so I said 'No'. Anyway, I leave cash tips, and don't add them to the credit card firms' already vast wealth.
But I thought a more gentle approach ('If you do want to leave a tip, you push that button there, but it's completely optional') might have been better.

Le Fournil, Santiago airport, is a cheery, open door restaurant close to the international arrivals gate. The seating is uncluttered and the restaurant is bright and welll lit.

The menu is extensive and we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the place. Choice of beverages and desserts is also very good. The service was great and the people who waited on us were cheerful and happy to serve.

Le Fournil made our stay at the Santiago airport memorable.

Most of the time, I avoid eating at airport restaurants because their prices are high and the value received for money spent is not good. That's why this restaurant was such a surprise.

It is located on the ground floor of the Santiago airport and is easy to miss. Once you clear customs, make a right and look for it beside the ATMs and currency exchange shops.

Seating is usually wide open, with no crowding. There menu is good, with lots off selections. We chose the four course lunch special which included soup or a salad, soft drink, main course and dessert, with warmed bread.

We each chose the house-made tomato soup, which was outstanding. We then had pork ribs and fries, followed by dessert served in a parfait glass.

This meal was large enough to satisfy our hunger without leaving us feeling too full. The cost for both of our meals, including a 10% tip, was around $25.00.

Pretty good value, all things considered.

This is a chain fast food place, lesser visible than the other best known restaurant of the airport; but here quality of service and food is certainly higher
