After waking super early with jet lag we had a stroll around the city and got to santa Lucía hill just after opening. It was a leisurely walk up along the cobble stones with lots of places to stop off to enjoy the view and take photos. Towards the summit there are many different tracks to go off explore and our kids enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies. The views from
The summit are lovely, especially towards the snow capped Andes. Well worth a few hours of any trip to Santiago.

Nice hill in the core of the city, you need to be in good shape otherwise better take it slowly, easy access from the main avenue( Mistral & Neruda's mural) it has a way out at the opposite side, very peaceful ,except for the traditional blast at noon.

Cerro Santa Lucia offers visitors buildings and gardens of historical significance as well as wonderful city and mountain views. We're pleased we visited with Ruta half day city sites tour, as our tour guide provided the historical background to this significant city landmark. Note, the site is closed on Mondays, along with most city museums.

I was looking forward to climbing this historical hill to see the views of the city, which I had been told are well worth the climb. It was raining so hard on the day I arrived, that the attraction had been closed for safety. So don't go on a rainy day!

This small hill has tons of history dating g back to the beginning of the city. The trek to the top is challenging with very steep steps which will be taxing to most people but it’s a rewarding payoff to see the view of the city. Good way to spend a couple hours !
