Singapore Vacation in incomplete without a visit to Singapore Zoo. I took the park hopper plus pass which gives access to Zoo, River safari, Night safari and Jurong Bird park for 7 days(Each place can be entered only once). You can easily fill you day with Zoo and the Safaris. The Zoo is quite big and maytake around 3-4 hours to complete. To enjoy the Zoo and avoid making animals uncomfortable, I would recommend on enjoying the moments rather than taking pictures. The penguins are a sight to watch as they are difficult to find in normal zoo. They have 3-4 shows which you should not miss. They are very entertaining, where trained animals perform insane acts. The zoo is very clean and can easily navigated with the Signboards and Map. Always wear light clothes and take enough water with you as the place is very humid and you can easily get dehydrated. Overall, it was a memorable experience.

Pre-book your breakfast as it was extremely busy and popular. The breakfast was good and plenty of variety - however some food items were only luke warm. Having a photo with the Orangutans was very special and take up the opportunity to hold a snake... scary but good. The rest of the zoo was fabulous - we paid extra for the river safari - it was okay. We were really looking forward to seeing the pandas as we had never seem one before. That was pretty cool. There is a lot to see at the zoo. Would highly recommend a visit.

We purchased the 4 park Hopper Plus Pass at the Singapore Zoo counter. Just wanted to mention that senior citizen rate is only given to local residents only.

We were lucky to have a gorgeous day out at the Singapore Zoo. The tram ride was convenient with three kids and a 70 year old senior citizen.

There were several group of school field trips taking place while we were there. I was a little surprised because the local schools has just resumed and I was expecting low crowd and perhaps no field trips on the first day back to school. The older school kids with their iPhones and selfie takings made it hard to listen to the guided tram ride.

We were also bitten by mosquitoes while walking around. So I would suggest spraying with insect repellent or buy those insect repellent stickers (they sell them at the Night Safari).

FYI parents - there’s a water play area at the Children’s World Play Land. So be prepared with swim wear or purchase them at the souvenir store that’s right across from the water play area.

This zoo is probably the most frequented zoo i've ever been.. Big area (which you can cover by foot within 2-3 hours, with short stops/breaks along the way), lots of animals for kids to see, great animal shows, a very educative trail. However there are a couple of hit and misses...... Being a touristy place, it is quite costly without the promotion (we always try our best to find promo tickets - last being a 45% off on your 2nd ticket) as for a family of 3 it can be about $70++. And also toilets are a big problem here! Sure its a zoo but the queue is crazy and cleanliness is not up to Singapore standard. Food wise - nothing special, so they could do better with their overpriced snacks and food court. Otherwise, plan your day to get there early by opening hours and be done by lunch time!

Singapore zoo is a must visit place in Singapore, especially if you are traveling with children. They will love it. The elephant show is awesome. There are other shows also, you have keep tracking the timings. White tiger was my favorite there. Loved the zoo. I suggest you to visit only the zoo. Doing river safari and night safari on the same day is too much hactic.
I will upload the video of Singapore zoo and my review about it, along with "how to get there" and "how to get back at late night easily" on my YouTube channel 'Explore with DD'. Please do check my channel.

Thank you and hope to seeing you on my channel.
