Noisy rooms and very poor condition. Further, they arranged the worst bus to take us to el Nido eventhough we asked for a nice ride and offered to pay extra. I don’t know if this is just the standard in the Philippines but I would not go back to this hotel

The hotel smelled like burning most of the time... the breakfast food wasn’t great. Laundry service was good and completed quickly. The hotel itself appeared to be deteriorating. Room was big enough and they gave us free toothpaste and toothbrushes which was very nice.

Stayed here about once a month for the past 3 years, the last stay about 3 months ago. This is a young hotel barely 5 years old that is quickly deteriorating. I tolerated it because of location and the 40% discount they gave me. Breakfast is poor, lunch food served for breakfast. On the last stay, I overstayed check-out time by one hour, the first time that happened in 3 years. They charged me for it and refused to waive it for a frequent guest. I guess they are strickler for rules but certainly poor in public relations. They lost me as I transferred to other hotels in the city. And there are many nicer ones.

Fersal is located close to Puerto Princesa airport so it is convenient if you are due for an early morning flight. Staff at reception were warm and friendly. The hotel is clean and tidy. The decor needs a definite upgrade as it feels very old and dark - think chunky dark wooden doors and door frames, minimal natural light and lots of gold.

There seemed to be a high school group staying at the hotel who were pretty loud until about midnight and early in the morning. It didn't bother me too much but I can imagine others might feel annoyed.

Before checkout I called asking for a shuttle to the airport. Upon checking out an hour later, the women at reception didn't have any record of me calling and requesting a shuttle so there's an issue with communication.

Otherwise it's an okay hotel for the price. Better ones out in Puerto Princesa for similar prices.

If you are travelling more than three, this is a very good option of hotel, close to airport, close to one of the best sea food restaurants around, Honda Bay and also comes with free breakfast. Staffs are very cool and have very good sense of humour. No regrets. They organise fantastic tours too.
