We had grilled chicken, and skewers (satay) cooked in manadonese style. it was a bit overpriced, when we only had 4 skewers for 99000 IDR, while you can get cheaper outside. Luckily food tasted excellent.
While the atmosphere is nice, but its not suitable for family with kids, so many sculpture and the room is also dark.

Dine among genuine historic artifacts. While I ordered rather typical chicken Sate , the restaurant has s wide selection. Antiques everywhere in a dark setting. Quite beautiful. The meal was served over burning coals which was quite nice.
Romantic setting.

This is literally a very colourful restaurant with great Indonesian food. The setting is very unique and part of the kind of hotels and restaurants that the this group seems to run. Food is excellent and given the unique setting, this restaurant is highly recommended while in Jakarta.

Wow.. a must visit place in Jakarta, love the place, ambience and the food!!! The place is simply exquisite with lots of antique and classic picture..

We ordered 4 kinds of foods, nasi puyung, nasi kapau, sate ayam and es campur. Kidding me not, all of them is incredible. From the presentation to the taste.

Will return for sure

Jakarta's foods are various from streets foods to little shop...I love them all. But I would definitely put my must try list on Lara Djonggrang. This restaurant combines with Eastern God and Chinese elements decoration, its unforgettable experience for me to enjoy a wonderful dinner surrounding by such majestic feeling. As the menu, three of us order many good foods like sate, soto and ...can't remember...all local Indonesian foods with dangerously good tastes. Nevertheless the price was so decent less than 50 USD for three (thanks to Eliza, the best menu order)...Its unbelievable for Chinese like me to pay in such such good environment, foods and services restaurant in this kind of budget.

Must try NO.1.
