This hotel is aged, extremely dirty (we found extensive blood traces on linen and blanket). The floor carpet has not been cleaned for ages. There is hot water in the evening but not in the morning. They overcharge a lot any service like the laundry.

There is a lovely terrace but plenty of other hotels in Lhassa have it... You can get much better sleeping options in Lhassa.

Lobby is very authentic but room is average. Simple hotel nothing fancy. Staff are friendly. Location is the best takeaway for this hotel. Many facilities nearby. Walk to end of street to take a 10yuan rickshaw to Jok Temple.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the very heart of old Tibetan
part of Lhasa. The rooms are immaculate clean, comfortable and nice, very quiet. The bed linen is crispy clean, new and of high quality. The mattress is good.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and some of them can speak good English. Hot water, Wi-Fi, electricity - all the amenities are available.
The breakfast normally includes traditional tsampa, scrambled eggs, fried noodles, tea, coffee, homemade bread, yak butter and jam. The spacious breakfast room on the roof terrace offers the beautiful view to the Potala Palace.
Overall it's a very nice hotel, richly decorated in the traditional Tibetan style and greatly located. We highly recommend it.

Staying here was a good choice. Staff are welcoming, friendly and do their best to ensure your needs are met. The rooftop breakfast area provides a great view of the Potala and if you are early enough to you can get great dramatic photos of the city, Potala and surrounding mountains in the early morning light.

We stayed at the Ramoche for a total of 4 nights (3 at he beginning of our trip and 1 at the end). We stayed in 2 different rooms. Both rooms were dirty. The carpets were gross and sticky and we weren't sure if the beds had been changed. In our first room there were toothpicks scattered around the floor. In both rooms we had to go down and request a remote for the AC unit from the front desk, which they had to pull from a different room. The bathrooms were simple and sort of clean but still gross. One bathroom was missing a grate over the floor drain and had a filthy and moldy shower mat. Overall, we do not recommend this hotel.
