My husband and I few on Cathay Pacific for 16 hours from New York to Hong Kong and arrived at Intercontinental Hotel with jet lag that lasted for several days. This was our first time visiting Hong Kong,

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! Even with my sleepy eyes, I could see how impressive and HUGE the hotel was! This hotel was everything we expected and much, much, more -- from their stellar customer service, to the wonderful room amenities, to the delicious foods, to the beautiful harbor view -- truly AMAZING!

Our only gripe with our room was that it didn’t have enough drawers. We stayed here in April for 10 days and there simply weren’t enough places to put all our stuff. We end up using our luggage as storage and it worked out well.

We can see the light show every night from our room. We shut off all the lights and watched the lights beamed across from the Hong Kong Harbor. It was the same show every night at 8 PM and lasted a little over 10 minutes. It was fun to watch but nothing spectacular. I won’t change any dinner plans just to catch this show. If you missed one, you can catch it the following evening. (You can also better see this light show at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge and at Harbourside Restaurant.)

There are many options to eat at this hotel – all very pricey, but you can’t beat the quality! Breakfast is served downstairs at Harbourside and has Asian and Western choices. (Get the juice from your waiter. It’s more refreshing than the ones on the buffet table.) They also served lunch and dinner. They have the best burger I ever had! Their Chilean sea bass on the dinner menu was also excellent – fresh, flavorful, and not too salty.

Spa at the hotel was heavenly! As with everything at this hotel, it’s pricey but your body will thank you afterwards. Be sure to make your reservation early as they get fill up very quickly, especially their specials.

Outdoor pool, Gym and Spa are all located on the 3rd floor. Towels and water bottles are provided.

This hotel is centrally located on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. It’s within walking distance to the famous Nathan Road, Gardens of Stars and Star Ferry Terminal, among other places. Public transportation in Hong Kong (the MTR System) is cheap, clean, safe and very easy to navigate. Signs are written in Chinese and English. There is MTR station right in front of the hotel. Just remember that the name of the exit is “J – Victoria Dockside”. If you exit at any other place, you’ll end up in an unfamiliar place.

We were very sorry to leave this beautiful hotel and look forward to going back!

We have stayed with intercontinental chain before in london so we were expecting a good service from the hotel but it was just opposite.
Rooms and washrooms are small, outdated and they stink.
Corridors stink badly.
Staff is rude and so not hospitable.
We were traveling with our 4 year old but unlike other 5 star hotels no toiletries for kids are provided, no complimentary milk is provided also the paid breakfast buffet was charged for the 4 year old child( got to know about it at the time of checkout)
Beware they suddenly wind up their breakfast buffet at 10.30 unlike other days which is at 11 without even informing their guests and do not even care if their guests have had their paid meals or not.
The only good thing about the hotel is its location and harbour view.
Not sure if we will ever go with this group after such a behavior they just don’t care about the guests.
What a contrast to intercontinental London !

We arrived from Adelaide, South Australia on Sunday 17th June at 3pm. Our room wasn't ready yet so we were treated to complimentary drinks and chocolates. As an IHG Rewards member, I was given a 2pm late checkout. So far, so good. Daniel Lam was exceptionally good. What can I say? It was perfect. The whole stay - from the knowledgeable concierge staff - especially Andy - to the perfect buffet breakfast each morning. We had a problem with our safe one night, which was fixed within minutes. Staff were so apologetic that we were given a bottle of wine and a follow-up email. They really do look after their guests.
The views from our room was amazing. We would leave the blinds up to watch the view each morning and night. The bathroom was so big - separate shower and deep bath. The bed was comfortable. The photo below is from our bedroom window at night...stunning to say the least.
The hotel is situated right near the shops - especially the 700 shopping centre Harbour City; the subway is just outside the hotel; and the star ferry is a few minutes walk to get to Hong Kong Island (.50c AUD).
I will return to Hong Kong and there will be only one hotel I will be staying at - the Intercontinental Hong Kong. Thanks for making it the most memorable stay ever!

Overall experience was decent. It was my boyfriend's birthday and we did a staycation weekend there. The hotel prepared a cake for his birthday and that was quite nice. Room was a bit old. Need some upgrading for sure.
