Absolutely loved my stay at the hotel, from the well kept garden to the amazing pools. The staff were also really friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything and especially Jane at the reception who was very helpful from when we first got there. Will be definitely coming back

I spent 5 days at the Voyager last week together with my two sons and we all had a fantastic time at the hotel. We stayed in a superior sea view room. If you are looking for a good hotel that's suited for a family holiday, then go no further. They have a good selection of food and drinks to pick from and if you are on the all-inclusive package, you will be snacking all day long at no additional charge. They have 3 swimming pools with one adjacent to the beach specifically designated for those looking for quiet time at the poolside. The kids really enjoyed the fun pool which comes with a slide and several hawk-eyed lifesavers, especially for the little ones. I really enjoyed the water aerobics every morning and the endless supply of drinks at the poolside. The only complaint I had when I arrived was one of the beds had been urinated on by the previous guests I assume and rather than changing all beddings including the mattress, only the beddings were changed, so it still wreaked of urine. It took two days to get this sorted due to a miscommunication with the staff who came and changed the mattress on the wrong bed. The phone in the room I got was also probably faulty as i was unable to reach the reception or room service for assistance. Anne from guest relations finally got this resolved. The staff are all extra helpful and friendly. Being a return customer, the hotel management left me a bottle of wine and fruit basket in my room in appreciation of my patronage; How awesome is that? See you next year!

But when we got back They had been our room and cleaned and The allso took all our Mira, so now we have no Mira left.

We spent 5 nights at voyager after 2 nights at the Shimba Hills Lodge.
We only had one real problem which was unfortunately at the beginning of the stay. We arrived early, as our travel company hadn't made us aware of the checking in time of 12pm. We received a warm welcome, cool towel and juice which was lovely. However, we then had to wait 2 1/2 hours to check into our room as it was being cleaned (an hour after the normal 12pm check-in time). We were offered to go on and use the facilities, but it would mean just leaving our luggage in the reception area, which we weren't comfortable with. The time we needed to wait kept being changed and were told we'd be informed as soon as the room was available. On asking a different member of staff we were told the room was ready and shown straight there! Think a bit of miscommunication.
Our room was huge and to the most part perfect. It was brightly decorated and meticulously clean. We had a selection of toiletries and water each day. The bed was HUGE and very comfortable. We had a lovely balcony over looking the sea. The bathroom was not quite to the same standard with the bath being rusty, shower head needed de-scaling and no plug in the sink. The water pressure is poor and it would have been impossible to have a bath, however this didn't really bother us.
We spent the most time by the relaxing pool near our room, but there were two others available. The loungers had comfy cushions and there was no shortage. Wifi is available all over the hotel.
The food was fantastic; a great selection, fresh and tasty. We definitely gained weight! The waiters/waitresses were lovely and helpful.
The beach is stunning and sellers very friendly, not too pushy. We took a kayak out from the hotel which was good fun. Make sure you take water shoes as there are sea urchins.
Make sure you explore the front of the hotel; there are some benches where you can sit and watch weaver birds build their nests.
We wouldn't have wanted to stay longer, as we usually enjoy active holidays and there isn't much to do without sitting in the heavy Mombasa traffic first. Haller Park was a lovely day out though and well worth a visit.

Room Tip: A sea view room is further from the restaurants but worth the view.
