I couldn’t recommend this camp more highly. We have been on safari twice before and this was our best experience by far. The camp itself is luxurious (perfect service, delicious meals, lovely tents and a beautiful main area) yet still feels like you are in the bush. The camp has a big focus on eco measures. Our family tent was huge (a room in the back with two single beds, a big bathroom, a main bedroom with a super king bed and a front area with an additional single bed and sofa (this is where they leave the coffee each morning when they wake you for the drive)). The Masai guides at this camp know the bush so well and can find the animals and predict their movements. Dominic was wonderful and my nine year old cried when we had to say goodbye to him. The animals during the migration were absolutely amazing. We saw everything (crossings, kills, lion turf wars, lionesses with their cubs, leopards, cheetah...and many of everything!). The camp is in the perfect location to see lots of animals and crossings from the main area of the camp while sipping a glass of wine and relaxing. Also there were no bugs or worrying creatures! Our previous safaris had lots of mosquitos and scorpions but we had none at all. We loved everything about Rekero and hope we have the privilege of going back one day.

We spent 3 nights at Rekero Camp and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ian, Cass and Sean were great hosts, and the whole Rekero team was welcoming and attentive. Tents are very comfortable, and the food is excellent. A large deck overlooks the Talek River and offers a wonderful vantage point for watching hippos, zebras crossing, and even spotting a leopard. Our guide Jacob was very knowledgeable and showed us so many lions: Lions eating, lions sleeping, lions with cubs... Other highlights included 2 male elephants pushing against each other, mating hyena, and 2 leopards on our last afternoon. We were able to closely watch the second leopard stalk a did-dik. Thrilling!

Fantastic camp. Staff wonderful and our guide Francis was super knowlegable, friendly to the kids and all around special. We saw every animal imaginable as well as a lion kill. The Wildebeests were insane!
The accomodations were super comfortable and the little touches (hot water bottle at night. Sundowner cocktails ) were spot on.
Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed at Rekero during our safari vacation. During lunch one day, we saw a crossing complete with wildebeests, zebras, and lions! You can see hippos, water buffalo, antelope, guinea fowl, topi, mongoose, kingfishers, and more all right in camp.

Our game driver Francis was very knowledgeable and provided us with front row seats for multiple river crossings.

A special shout out to Stacey, Simba, Gilbert, and the whole staff for their attentiveness to details and for doing their part to help make our safari adventure memorable and wonderful.

Excellent service and accommodations. Our guide was super knowledgeable and seemed to have a an amazing ability to to find the animals and allow us see them in their habitat.. The manager is very friendly and does a great job of managing everyone's expectations and requests.

Room tip: Try to get the tent that looks over the creek. When we were there we saw hipos fighting.
