An interesting spot to get insight into the history and tribes of Kenya through a look at their homesteads, dance and music, but not a top highlight of my trip to Kenya. Make sure that you time your visit with their daily shows so you can get the full experience and explore the music and dance performances. Besides the performance, I found the homesteads a bit redundant - but maybe it would have been better with a more engaging guide. Nonetheless, I did learn a lot at Bomas about the structure of typical family units in Kenya’s many tribes which was very helpful perspective to gain for the rest of my trip around Kenya. The performance was great and they welcome audience participation, which is fun. That said, it’s pretty long so make sure you know what you’re going into and plan your day accordingly.
