We booked directly online as a friend had stayed here 4 yrs ago but while the building from the outside look nice the rooms are very dated they need TLC its like a forgotten house, the food was not good either so quite sad.

Great hotel. Fantastic staff very friendly. Food and drink expensive so eat and drink locally. Good sevurity all bags scanned at entrance. Huge hotel. Great outdoir pool thats covered and has resident lifeguard. Good gym with his and her sauna as mixed sex favilitues are not allowed in Kenya. Would stay there again. Mosquitos are are problem so taķe precautions

Family of 4 checked in to bizarrely quiet hotel. Staff courteous & helpful. Rooms sadly outdated. Stuffy & dim. No ventilation. All bitten badly by mosquitoes during the night. We were the only guest at breakfast. Actually during our stay we didn’t see another guest.

As our first stop in Kenya, and in contrast to may of the reviews on here, the Laico Regency provided little welcome to the country or its capital for us.

Believed to be some of the few, if not only guests staying (we didn't see a single other guest), I found it incredulous to wait almost 30 minutes for 2 beers from Room Service. Twice! This was the case as the bar was closed upon our arrival, 2230 on a Friday evening; we were also encouraged not to leave the hotel grounds by the Concierge as the surrounding area "is quite unsafe". This message supported by the armed security, which I would never discourage, if appropriate.

The room was sparse in amenities and generally tired in look and scent, however was of a decent size. In addition, our view was of the Pensions building, across the parking lot, so not an ideal view of the City.

One positive note, a thoughtfully-packed breakfast-to-go (requested due to an early start) was gratefully received and tucked into on the new SGR, located just 20 minutes’ drive away.

I walked into Laico Regency and booked a night's stay on 25/10/2017. This was the best decision of my day as I really enjoyed my stay. My room on the 5th floor was very spacious and had a beautiful view from the interior balcony area.
The buffet dinner was sumptuous and I was really impressed by the pricing. Definitely value for my money and I would highly recommend my family and friends to visit Laico Regency Hotel.

Room Tip: The fifth floor has a fantastic view! The buffet is sumptuous!
