We stayed 4 nights at this hotel as the last leg of our Egypt tour. Unfortunately, this hotel ranked well below the other hotels we stayed at in Aswan, Luxor and Hurghada. The hotel suffers from its location near the pyramids because it is besieged by tour groups. This makes reception chaotic and affects the service provided to guests. You would expect a hotel that caters for tour groups and high volume guest turnover to be well setup for it but I’m afraid that the hotel just doesn’t meet the mark. Reception is usually very busy so it does take some time to get served. You just have to wait. The staff were great, we no complaints at all. Service in the restaurant and bar area was poor. Most often we had to go and find someone to come and serve us whether we were sitting inside or out by the pool. It was equally difficult getting the bill.

No complaint about the room. The rooms were booked by our tour company as part of the package. We stayed in a Preferred Guest room on the 3rd floor. Not much different to the standard room but a good size and had most of the essentials. View to the local street out back and relatively quiet. Quite a walk to the lifts but all in all quite reasonable.

Perhaps the biggest issue is the cost of drinks in the hotel. Paying A$40+ for a Chivas Regal or even A$20+ for a Red label scotch is simply price gouging. A price mark-up is expected but not to the extent imposed by the hotel. The price of drinks has been commented on previously in other Trip Advisor reviews. In the response to some of those reviews the hotel maintains that it is simply reflecting the hotels category rating but I find that comment rather ridiculous. We stayed at the Sheraton hotel in Cairo which is a much higher standard hotel and yet the drinks were considerably cheaper than Le Meridien.

Yes, the hotel is close to the pyramids. However, my advice to travellers is to look elsewhere for accommodation and simply put up with the additional travel time, even from downtown. Probably well worth it and certainly likely to be cheaper and quieter.

Room tip: Higher floors and away from the lift lobby

We arrived the hotel too late evening, check in was warm and welcoming, however we disappointed once the receptionist who was feeling sorry that our room not ready and still to wait over one hour after a long trip, same time the manager on duty Marko, met us, very helpful and has really an amazing management skills and character, by a romantic way he invited us to have a complimentary romantic dinner accompanied us to the restaurant where we had excellent service and special food against his recommendations to restaurant staff. after dinner went to reception and our room was ready, once we went there we surprise by a nice fruit basket, really we appreciate it.

Just we wonder how a big hotel like meridien and marriott and has a problem in accomodate the guest at right time, it migh happen like what i faced in Morocco but there the didn't even offer welcome drink.

Any how my second stay was fine and we will come again as we love le meridien and the service there

Hi. The room view is marvellous and the check-in procedure and staff were excellent n early check-in was great.
But coming to room it's very sad. Old rooms and small size with antique television and Mini bathroom. Not expected such type of room compared to the le meridians in India. Need to stay 3 more days... Hope for the best

This hotel was absolutely fantastic throughout my stay! From the greatly varied breakfast service to the very helpful reception staff & even the very friendly room service/cleaner staff. If the pyramids are your main goal while in Egypt then you must stay here, it is literally a 10 minute Uber ride away from the site which makes it unbeatable! My girlfriend had booked the room for me for my 30th birthday and the view from our room was mesmerising every single day! People should seek out the 6th floor rooms for the best possible view! The pool areas were perfect with a central cafe that provided great lunch service including fresh shawarma wraps!! I have to give a massive shout out and many thanks to one member of staff who made our stay very welcoming, well served & filled with laughs. Mr Mohammed Aboseirei was absolutely fantastic and became a friend of mine soon after. I would come back here to stay in a heartbeat and really hope to in the very near future!

We arrived into Cairo at night and made our way to the Le Meridien Pyramids and Spa Hotel. The Hotel is about 40 mins away from the airport.

When we arrived at the Hotel, the check in experience was quick and hassle free. We were taken up to our room and given a quick guide to what the hotel facilities were.

The room was a good size and we had a balcony over looking the pool which is amazing! The pool is huge and has a deep end (2m) so jumping in is no issue. But the most amazing thing about the pool and the hotel is the view of the Pyramids in the back ground (see pictures). There is a pool bar and lounger service so you can relax and enjoy the view without having to get up.
The hotel also has a spa with a huge Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna. The Sauna and Steam Room are separated by sex but the jacuzzi is mixed.
There are several restaurants in the hotel and they offer plenty of choice. The pool bar had an amazing mixed grill which I am still craving to have again!

The location of this hotel is just on the edge of Giza with the Pyramids, literally 5 mins away. There isn't much to do immediately outside of the hotel in the evening but Ubers / Taxis are plentiful.

Overall, this hotel is fantastic. The rooms, the service and the views are amazing! I will definitely return here in the future,
