There are few decently priced Western options in downtown so Phayre's really stands out. They have a good selection of items–Cajun fries were particularly good. Restaurant has a really nice atmosphere/design.

Stumbled across this place - it's fantastic! A good selection of food which is freshly prepared - I can recommend the butter fish very highly. Good prices and friendly staff.

A nice, quiet, clean and friendly restaurant that you can easily miss if you're not familiar with the area... Visited for a late lunch after a hot, traffic travel from the airport, and went back for afternoon snacks few days after. The staff are friendly and very accommodating.
Ordered chicken Schnitzel and strawberry smoothie for lunch. The batter though, had a little more egg than the usual, but the smoothie was so packed with strawberries. The mixed veggies that came with with chicken was overcooked and very, very bland; it looked boiled and not blanched. Price was still cheap compared to other Asian cities, but a bit pricey in Myanmar standard (only because the serving was so small). Overall I still recommend the place because it offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. And the wifi was fast.

The meal we had (pan fried sea bass and pear, with pumpkin sauce & mixed vegetables) was original and very good. BUT there were barely any vegetables an what there was was barely cooked. It was also a bit pricey considering the size of the serving. My partner needed to add a soup to feel full. Why did we both get the same thing? Because there were minimal choices on the menu. This menu may be fine for a bar, but they claim to be a restaurant and the name is Phayre's "gastronomy".

A very nice, quiet, clean restaurant that is a ten minute walk from Bagoke (Scott's) Market. Phayre's is on Pansodan Street. The food is a mixed Western and Asian. BEST...Coffee! I ate there a dozen times and was always satisfied. The breakfast is Western/Simple. Highly recommend.
