Dinner for two, and outstanding in every respect!
Firstly the venue. It is a magnificently restored colonial style dining room, with towering ceiling, beautiful decor, comfortable seating and classy table and glassware.
We chose the 6 course tasting menu, and it was outstanding. Fabulous flavours and textures, beautiful presentation, and highly original. From the amuse bouche to start, then three fabulous starter courses, a fish dish, a sorbet made at the table with liquid nitrogen , then pigeon and finally an amazing chocolate ball filled with ice cream and served with expresso coffee, we loved every course. We have eaten widely around the world, and this matched the best we have ever had. At US$88 a head, it was great value for food and ambience of this quality.
