We had a very warm welcome at this restaurant. The owner shook our hands when we arrived, made us visit his beautiful restaurant, came to our table a couple of times while we were dining, to make sure everything was alright and gave us delicious pralines at the end of the meal. We were pleased to be so pampered. The food was good. My partner had a pork cutlet with French fries and I had a slice of meru with rice and a mushroom sauce. That was delicious. Unfortunately, the oil they used for the fries was too old and an awkward waiter took my rice before I had time to finish it. For drinks, we had a beer and two soft drinks. We paid $73.
This is a Portuguese restaurant, well decorated, like a cozy Portuguese house of the 19th century. It is ideal for privacy, either for an important meeting or for a date night. The manager is very attentive. I think that the next time I would go I would make him aware the oil for the fries was too old and a waiter had taken my rice away before I had time to finish eating... After all, it is a very good restaurant: even in Kinshasa, we can ask for a five-star service.
