We took a bus to the cascades and enjoyed our walk up to the waterfall. We didn’t swim, just paddled in the crystal clear water. It took us just over an hour for the return walk up and down. We went at about 9.30am cause it was a cruise ship day. Thankfully we just beat the crowds. Would recommend wearing reef shoes because your feet will get wet.

We booked this trip not realising this was no longer a locally owned attraction. Still the guide and visit was wonderful. There is a 20 minute walk up to the cascades with a couple of small water crossings. We wore our reef shoes but others were in thongs. It is a bit steep and a bit slippery in parts. We went early which I'd recommend as we had the falls to ourselves. The waterfall was in full glory and really a sight to behold. We were 4 on our tour and we all swam. On the way back down we passed four other groups on their way up so swimming would be packed with that many people. After the swim we went back via a village in mele mat where we watched local singing and dancing. A great way to spend half a day. Our tour was Iririki Nature tour.

We took a bus out to the cascades and had a lovely time at the waterfall. The kids enjoyed swimming under the waterfall and jumping off the rocks. The rocks do get very slippery so use the hand-ropes and wear reef shoes if possible. I wouldn't recommend elderly or unsteady people to walk up the cascade rocks though.

We did this as part of our attractions tour and was certainly not worth the $1500 Vatu entry, nothing there but a waterfall and swimming hole which at the time we went was freezing and you could not be in there for anymore then 10-15min before getting out. Don't waste your time or money, there is certainly nothing exceptional about this place. Spend more time at the Blue Lagoon cheaper and much more to do.

This was a truly beautiful place to visit. We throughly enjoyed the walk to the falls and were enthralled with the information the guide provided on the local vegetation and foods. Parts of the trip can be a little slippery but you can take your time. A fantastic swim at the top.
