La Casona is a great spot to stay within walking distance of major attractions. Despite being in the middle of everything, it is quiet and calm and provides a quick escape from the bustle of the city if you just want to grab a book and sit in the courtyard. Staff was super helpful with day trips and airport transportation. Also, the shower water pressure was excellent. Highly recommend!

Hotel in centre of city. Old building can be a little noisy at times. Room very comfortable and bathroom is adequate. Biggest advantage is the central location. We arrived on day of street carnival celebtrating 'Jesus'. The main street was blocked off as parade commenced at 8am Saturday morning and finished at 3am Sunday morning. The hotel at a price could provide seats on the stands along the street. The 3rd floor terrace of the hotel did provide a view of the parade which was extremely colourful and vibrant. Staff very helpful. There are very few restaurants around the hotel. The food in the hotel dining room was excellent. Would recommend this hotel as it is very convenient

We stayed at La Casona for three days. It was fabulous, a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle that was just outside the front door. The room was large and comfortable, the bed was excellent, the breakfast was plentiful and had a good array of different foods. The hotel was also well placed in the old town which made it easy to get to the sights and local restaurants of La Paz. Above all however, what made this a very good place to stay was the staff. They were at all time friendly and helpful. Any request was acted on quickly and efficiently. They responded with a smile. I congratulate the staff at La Casona and recommend the hotel very highly.

The hotel is only a short walk or cheap taxi to many attractions, including the orange cable car. The hotel was very clean an comfortable. The rooftop terrace was great. The breakfast included was fresh and plenty of food. We also had dinner at the hotel which also was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This lovely hacienda style hotel is superbly located in the heart of the old city centre of La Paz, just a short walk to the witches market and the shopping streets Sagamana and Linares. Professional staff, very clean, nicely decorated, decent breakfast with the usual offering, good internet and plenty of hot water. The rooms that give onto the inner courtyard are quiet at night but expect some early morning noise as guests depart muy temprano! Carpeting would help but ruin the look. A good option for La Paz.
