Traditional Arabic food, traditional shops, good in nice weather. We are in Damasca. The food was great.

A great place to visit to explore the shops and restaurants of the souq. Shaded and tightly squeezed passageways help in the heat of the day. Get lost, have fun looking at all the amazing merchandise. Lots of imports from neighboring countries.

Animals in souk wakif are suffering. I have seen the horrors: a large turtle in a small cage. Sick kittens imprisoned. In addition, it was too hot. I cried during my stay in Doha.

A must see in Doha, visit spice market, get a henna, eat at very good restaurants and sit with a tea and people watch.
