We visited here as part of a group tour. This is a museum with gift shop, not a sales oriented experience at all. With a little explanation, we were able to appreciate the various designs and stories of the beautiful carpets on display.

The museum was adjacent to Laleh Park and it is better accessed by taxi. There are many carpets exhibited in the museum but none has detailed description, neither are they displayed in chronological order. The hall is also dark without sufficient spot light to lit up the exhibits. I have expected to see many ancient carpets but most of them were dated 19 & 20 century. There are 2 levels of exhibition hall but at the time of visit the upper level was closed for no reason. One will feel disappointed if have expected to learn the making of carpet or the evolution on carpet design. I would say this is more of a gallery but not practically a museum.

Rather the Laleh Park is a pleasant place for a leisure walk. There are many cats wandering around and being lazy for a sun bath.
