Azura specializes in Kosher Turkish-Kurdish cuisine. It is located at the Iraqi Market, a court within Mahaneh Yehudah, Jerusalem's fabulous food market. My wife and I were brought there by our younger daughter, who knows the place well. We both had the Gourmet Service, a succession of soups, meats and stuffed vegetables (half of it at least had to be packed as doggy bags at our request), while our daughter just ordered the restaurant's signature dish : eggplant and minced meat. So far, our greatest lunch in Jerusalem for years.

We had one of the most delicious meals since we came to Israel. We had hummus, pita, beef with potatoes, grape leaves, stuffed onion and cabbage, and eggplant with spinach and kebab meat. It was delicious. Excuse me as I am not sure of the names of what we ate. Either way it was delicious.

Azura is a shuk staple with great Israeli/middle eastern food. Can be hard to get a seat but overall great food. The kibbeh soup is excellent, hummus is solid as well.
The staff is not very friendly but can serve as a welcome to Israel rudeness.
