“You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT stay anywhere else.”
Reviewed 1 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Three reasons why you cannot, ABSOLUTELY CANNOT, stay anywhere else in Israel:

1. The cottage is remarkably cozy, well-furnished, pristine and huge. The moment you set foot on the porch, with a view of the St. John the Baptist Church, and through the front door, you immediately say to yourself, “Geez, I’m home.” The tiny road in front of your porch is actually the favorite path that tour guides take people, because it’s just beautiful- lined with almond trees (which at this time of the year are abloom with their pink flowers), olive trees, and a great panorama of the village. When Yona was gardening yesterday, the tourists passing by told her, “You live in heaven!” It's secluded yet just a stone's throw away from all the nice restaurants of Ein Kerem (you can actually see them from your porch).
2. Ein Kerem is the most gorgeous part of Jerusalem. Just see the photos I’ve attached. Every time I told people I was staying in Ein Kerem, they would all gasp, “Wow. That’s the nicest neighborhood in Jerusalem!”
3. And the best reason to stay here: The Frankfurter family. I have traveled to many places and met many wonderful people, but the Sosners aren’t some family you have a nice time getting to know then you forget. Many of their old guests keep coming back, often to bring friends and loved ones, because encountering them and living in their special home is something that makes travel the gem that it is. They are helpful, fun, cheerful, and the brilliant conversations you can have with them are boundless (some laughter over useless topics is part of the deal, too!). I had to rave about them to my friends back home the first night I met them, and leaving was as heartbreaking as saying goodbye to family. That’s how truly special they are.

So if you don’t just need a place to sleep in but a space to feel truly comfortable and at home with, you cannot, ABSOLUTELY, ABSOLUTELY CANNOT, stay anywhere else.
