Very good location The facilities are old, but everything is clean. The staff very nice. It's economic. Breakfast is fine and Wi-Fi is free and goes very fast. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

It was my second stay with The Jerusalem Hostel and I would definitely return to it in my next stay in Jerusalem.
I do really like the location, as it is very central and everything is reachable by foot. Even though the location is very central, I was not disturbed by noise during the night. Furthermore the staff is very helpful, kind and easy to communicate (my e-mails and phone calls have been answered immediatley).

Stayed: May 2018

We were a family of seven, including kids, not exactly the prototype of such hostel.
Either way, we had a great experience. the staff is very generous and pleasent, always available and gave us great tips for our stay.
The location is spot on! in the middle of everything - from the old city to the "machne yehuda" market and night life scenery.
Overall highly recommended.

The Hotel was basic, but comfortable, the really good thing was the location. The Hotel was in a great location very convenient to shops and the Jaffa Gate the old and new Jerusalem. The Staff were at all times very professional and very helpful. Great eating places close by. The only down side is the hotel was built in 1928 and the there is not a elevator (lift) , So if your unlucky you may need to carry your bags up 3 floors. Just be aware, the breakfast was traditional, bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, humus, boiled eggs, yogurt, it was delicious.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less A/C noise

This is in a good location to explore the old and new areas. A Shabbat meal is offered. As seniors we were grateful for a large, quiet room in the rear. The breakfast was good and included hard-boiled eggs.
