This was a lovely rustic place to stay. A quiet oasis after a hard day of touring in Rosh Pina or Zefat. The food was delicious and our sunset picnic with the horses in the background is a favorite memory. It may be a horse farm but they know how to take care of people too.

Vered Hagalil is a perfect choice if you want a comfortable older cottage on a working horse farm. Although we didn't ride, we enjoyed the casual atmosphere, the stables, & pastures. Our cottage was on the same side of the street as the swimming pool (not open in winter), stables, pastures, reception, and restaurant. Some cottages were located across the street including the newest cottages which overlook the Sea of Gaililee. The reception staff were helpful in guiding us to book the most suitable cottage for our small group. My emails were answered very throughly and quickly. While at the property, staff were most responsive to ensure we were happy & comfortable. Staying at Vered Haglil instead of a more tradtional hotel was perfect for our small group. The atmosphere at Vered Hagalil was in keeping with the serenity and beauty of the Sea of Galilee. The hotel serves a nice buffet breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Assuming you come by rental car, it is easy to find (close to intersection of 85 & 90) and it is very convenient for sightseeing on the Sea of Galilee. I will recommend this property to friends traveling to Israel.

We stayed two nights in an older cottage overlooking the Kinneret. Our daughter and her family stayed in one of the newer suites nearby. The cabins were all across the road from the restaurant and lobby area. Crossing the road with children in tow was tricky with all the traffic. Since we were there in November, we never even saw the pool. We did see horseback riders. Each of our cabins had a sink and fridge and hot pot. We also had a patio with table and chairs and a small grill; however in order to use any of it we would have had to bring utensils and plates and food so I am not sure how useful it was to have it. The furniture in the older cottage really needed to be replaced. On the shabby side. The bathroom shower also sprayed water all over the floor (there was a squeegee mop so maybe that was a hint). We also had an enormous jetted spa tub which I cannot imagine anyone wasting all the water needed to fill it. The newer suites had newer furniture and a smaller spa tub in the bedroom as well as a shower in a separate bathroom.. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was delicious. While they did not put out eggs on the buffet, they will make them for you on request. The buffet had all the makings of a typical Israeli breakfast. The guest farm location was excellent for exploring the Galilee area. The kids had a good time wandering around. We just enjoyed sitting and watching the sun set followed by the twinkling lights of Tiberias.

We have spent two nights in a small, clean and well equipped bungalow overlooking the lake of Galilee. The view from the bungalows and the quite large swimming pool is beautiful. The breakfast is very generous with nothing missing. You would want a car to explore the area, Tiberias, Safed, Qumran are near and worth wile visiting. In the nearby village of Amiad there is a supermarket and good restaurants. The farm is ideal for families with small children but we found it very nice and relaxing too.

On the way between Tiberias and Zefat . Back horse riding tours in the wild area of the galilee.
The restaurant's menu based on meat. We enjoyed porterhouse steak.
